The Belvedere del Farinaio is located a short distance from Terontola di Cortona, a small village with several shops, including grocery stores, a pharmacy, banks, bakeries, takeout restaurants, fresh handmade pasta, a fruit and vegetable shop, cafes, and a few clothing stores, supermarkets, and restaurants/pizzerias.

The location is ideal for those who wish to visit, with short trips, the two regions of central Italy—Tuscany and Umbria—since Cortona lies along the main routes of major highways such as the A1 and the Siena-Perugia expressway.

Places of particular interest, such as Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza, Perugia, and Assisi, are less than an hour’s drive away, and other lesser-known towns—which are no less interesting from a cultural or artistic standpoint—can be reached via pleasant day trips.

Major cities such as Rome and Florence can be easily reached by train, as Cortona is served by two train stations. Local shops and supermarkets are also open on Sunday mornings.
