Life doesn't get any better than this! Nicely remodeled and coastal decorated 2 bedroom 2 bath condo with sleeping for 6 (feel free to sleep a 7th/8th guest on the queen sleeper sofa—so bring your own sheet, pillow and blanket for the queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress.)

HOA does not allow pets.

Located on the best side of the complex directly in front of the dunes. Enjoy your coffee, water or wine from the 30-foot long patio facing the dunes that has peeks of the ocean through the dunes. You do not see parking lots or other condos from the patio; just grass, dunes and ocean with a very private feeling.

Take advantage of the many amenities like 2 pools, (tennis court under repair at this time), sand volleyball, picnic gazebos with grills and lots of grassy areas and landscaping to enjoy.

Old-town Port Aransas is just minutes away, so you can get to restaurants, fishing, and all the cute beach shops easily. This is also the area of town where you can legally drive beach buggies/golf carts on the road.

Bring your own towels for the pool (complex does not furnish pool towels) and beach. The condo is outfitted with 8 white bath towels for use in condo only—please do not take to pool or beach as there is not towel service during your stay.

Stayed into a Hurricane

Checking in, the ladies in the office were rude. They gave me a hard time because I booked off of VRBO and asked for three parking passes. She told me there was no where on the island to put my third car. After a while, she ended up giving me the third pass. Walking into the condo, we were blown away. It was so much cuter than the picture which were already cute. Plenty of space and bed, a pantry to put our food, and a top of the line HUGE fridge with freezer. Absolutely perfect! We really loved how close to the beach we were. We walked there right away to put our feet in the sand. Sadly hurricane Hanna came in our first night so the pool and beach closed and we had to leave early the next morning. The owner of the condo messaged me back right away, every single time. I really appreciate his help though the crazy events.

Close to the beach but not as advertised.

This does not sleep 7 people. This sleeps six unless one of your guests wants to sleep on the stained couch, which the owner calls a "bed". I called the owner about the bed thinking maybe we missed a pull out bed, but he was adamant that a couch is a bed and asked me if I wanted him to "ship us a bed". The sheets on the bed and towels had yellow stains on them which wasn't very appealing. The two redeeming qualities were it is very close to the beach, and it has a nice kitchen with pots, pans, spices, filtered water, and paper towels. If you are bringing 6 people I will say that the convenience of the beach is worth it for the price.

We had a most enjoyable stay.

Our group of seven fit just fine into this cute little condo. Everything we needed was there. It was clean, close to the pool and a not so far walk to the beach. I loved that the AC kept us nice and cool.....it was hot outside! The only negative was that, though we faced the beach, we couldn't see it from our patio. We could hear I it though. Love that sound! This condo is ground level and the dune blocks the view. I had no need to contact the owner as we had no problems. I liked that he contacted me afterwards that my deposit would be returned.

Cozy Condo with direct beach access!

Recently we stayed in this condo with our two toddlers for just under a week. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised that the house was cool and nicely furnished. We enjoyed many things about this location. First, we enjoyed the direct access to the beach. It was nice to only roll our cooler and chairs down the path to the sand without having to load the car up each time we wanted to go to the beach. Another aspect of the location we enjoyed was having all of the restaurants within a five minute drive, and we even ventured 45 minutes away to the State Aquarium in Corpus Christi one afternoon. We also enjoyed the ability to cook at the condo. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed to make dinners and cut down on the vacation costs. We especially enjoyed having access to the Keurig. While the furnishings could use some updating, and the beds were not as soft as my own personal preference, we did appreciate the overall cleanliness and usefulness of the condo. Our girls were especially excited to find that there were a few board games and Lego blocks that were there to play with when we arrived. If I had to make one suggestion, it would be to bring extra towels. We found that with three adults and two toddlers, there weren't enough towels to last us a week without having to use them more than a few times. While laundry is available on site, we didn't want to bother with that while on vacation. Overall, we had an excellent time here! We loved the condo, and the owner was exceptionally helpful. He even helped us to add an extra day onto our vacation because we just weren't ready to leave. You'll love this place!

I keep coming back!

I love this place....tranquil and peaceful breezy patio.....very comfortable and had everything we needed....this was my third time staying in this unit and I will continue to come back...perfect for kids...so glad I stumbled upon this place!

Perfect for Vacation on the Beach

I am completely satisfied by this property. The location is perfect if you plan to stay on the beach, to visit North Padre National Seashore, or to explore Port Aransas. The beach is just a step from the door, and you can see, hear and smell the sea from the porch. The condo is clean and equipped with everything you need for the long stay. The owner, Edd, was very friendly and was answering all my questions quikly and with details. Thanks a lot, we enjoyed our stay!

Perfect little family vacation stay.

The condo was nice and perfect for our long weekend getaway to the coast. The unit was very clean and we'll stocked. The property has a nice pool near the main gate and easy access to the beach right over a walking bridge. We had a wonderful time!

Very nice.

We have been going to Port Aransas every summer for the past 15 years. This was one of the better rentals at Island Retreat. We will definitely book again when we need a smaller room or extra space.

Great view and location. Comfortable for family of 6.

We had a very nice stay. We loved the large patio with the beautiful view and quick access to the beach, we enjoyed the comfy living room with plenty of seats, and it was great to have two nice pools near the condo. The condo was very close to the restaurants and grocery store - everything was a very short drive away. Really nice place that met all of our needs!

Great Condo close to the beach!

Overall condo was great! Neighbors were a little noisy, otherwise it definitely met our expectations and needs. Great location to the beach. Definitely will stay again.

Excellent 2 bedroom with coastal breeze

The condo is excellent. Its' on the ground floor and a has a large balcony that faces the water (the grassy dunes obstruct your view of the beach, but you get the breezes, sunrise, and the offshore lights). All the amenities are excellent. It is so great to be such a short walk to the beach!! Also, the condo complex is in town and very close to all the city restaurants and activities. The owner is very nice and is very responsive to emails and questions. The walls of the complex are very thin, so just hope that you don't have any super rowdy neighbors... but, we did not have any problems. We would definitely stay here again!
