“Agios Stefanos Bay - Villa Maria” sits high on the hillside above the quant yet stylish little fishing village of Agios Stefanos (Sinies) on the northeast coast of Corfu. The lofty position delivers a breathtaking combination of jaw-dropping views, cooling sea breezes and luxurious seclusion. It is hard not to feel the teeniest bit smug sitting here, drink in hand, as the sky fades from blue to blush and lights from the beautiful quaint fishing village begin to twinkle over the waters of the charming bay beneath, out towards the open abyss of the Ionian Sea.



The Space:

“Agios Stefanos Bay - Villa Maria” is on 2 levels. It has been setup to a high standard, with high ceilings, plenty of light and neutral tones throughout. All rooms and general spaces are ocean facing.



There are three spacious bedrooms. On the ground floor is a twin bedroom with direct access to the outside garden terrace and BBQ area. It is serviced by a separate ground level bathroom. On the upper floor one finds the remaining two bedrooms. A twin bedroom with its own en suite bathroom. And the master bedroom with its own en suite bathroom and private balcony and seating area. All bedrooms enjoy wonderful views of Agios Stefanos and the mesmerizing Ionian Sea.



The kitchen is large and bright. The kitchen, living room and dining room area are on the entrance level and open out through large French style patio doors on to a beautiful terrace with separate outside seating areas and plenty of room for lunch or supper under the stars, while listening to the water lap at the pool below. The private swimming pool and sunbathing terrace can be found beneath the Villa on a separate level.



From breakfast by the pool when the sun starts to rise to the east, to dinners that start when the sun has set towards the west, you can enjoy the very best of this magical region without leaving your villa.



Superbly constructed both inside and out, this property sits proudly in its own spacious grounds with a large private infinity pool, endless sea viewpoints, and a generous sun terrace.

Location:

The Villa is located just above the small fishing port village of Agios Stefanos (Sinies) on the northeast coast of Corfu; known for its crystal clear waters, idyllic beaches, and picturesque surroundings.



Arriving to Agios Stefanos Bay from the Villa is less than 1 minutes by car, or a 5 minute walk via footpath, where you’ll find bars, cafes, tavernas, supermarkets and also mooring for boats.



Avlaki beach is 3km away, and offers great water sports, sailing and horse riding.



Kerasia beach is 2km from the villa, where you will find a wonderful beachfront taverna with its own private jetty.



The beautiful fishing port of Kassiopi is 6km away, and has bars, restaurants, shops, and a good night life.



Corfu town is a 50 min drive or 20 mins by sea taxi.



Many consider Corfu to be the premier destination of the Ionian islands. With its pastel villages, rolling olive groves and grand manor houses, the island resembles Tuscany in combination with some of the best beaches in Europe.



The informed traveler tends to stay on Corfu's north-east coast, where our villa is located and where similarly most of the elite choose to unwind. One can find tiny fishing villages to eat. Rent a boat and wonder to some of Corfu’s most scenic coves, such as Erimitis, Kerasia, Agni, and Kalami. These pastoral bays still resemble the 'delectable landscape' that Lawrence Durrell fell for in the 1930s. One may venture inland to the UNESCO heritage site of Old Perithia, an enchanting, abandoned village with footpaths, honey producers, and tavernas that specialize in local dishes and delicacies!



The cosmopolitan capital is a charming clash of Venetian, British and French colonial influences. A place where evenings kick off with cocktails on the Liston (a colonnade modelled on Paris's rue de Rivoli), followed by dinner at one of the many outstanding restaurants in the confines of the island’s other designated UNESCO Heritage site of Old Corfu Town.
