Live in the Paris of the North
Clean, green, lively and relaxed. The city of cities, surrounded by water and the esssence of a happy style of life. Stormgade 10 is centrally located in the oldest and historically the most exciting neighborhood in Copenhagen. With its location in a unique yard and between the pillared halls of the National Museum and the Vandkunst fountain in the Latin Quarter, this property is part of a unique city scene. In the exact center of old Copenhagen between Tivoli, Christiansborg and Glypoteket. The property is also very close to Copenhagen Central Station, Nørreport and Kgs. Nytorv. The neigborhood's small boutiques create a cozy Parisian atmosphere. You can do your grocery shopping at Torvehallerne or enjoy the surroundings in Ørstedsparken --- both are within 10 minutes' walking distance. Everything is right outside your door. Shopping, restaurants and all the possibilities of Strøget, as well as the charming narrow streets with unique small boutiques, stands and café with outdoor seating.
The Holstein mansion's history goes all the way back to 1687, when Lord Chamberlain van Lützow had the foundation laid. Later on, Lord Chamberlain Johann Ludvig von Holstein, Undersecretary and Supreme Court Justice Christian Colbjørnsen, 1st Lieutenant W. H. F. A. Læssøe and Naval Officer H. B. Dahlerup had their residence in the mansion. Today, Stormgade 10 has become a listed property by the Culture Authority because the property represents the finest of Danish building culture, the best architecture and the most important historical and cultural inheritance. This is a concrete witness to people built, worked and lived in Denmark.
The apartment is designed according to the property's inherent character and unites modern functions and needs with listed cultural values. The apartment has beautiful doors and original window frames that call to mind the luxurious life that took place in these rooms 300 years ago.
The downtown area is the heart of Copenhagen. This is where you will find the pedestrian street Strøget, Copenhagens shopping Mecca. The downtown area also has numerous museums and historical points of interest. Particularly The Round Tower, The Stock Exchange, Christiansborg and Nyhavn are worth a visit.
If you want to relax like a Copenhagener, enjoy a cup of coffee in the old Latin Quarter, locally known as "pisserenden" (Piss Gutter). The Latin Quarter has a number of trendy shops and pleasant cafés such as Robert's Coffee. You can also pay a visit at Tivoli, Copenhagen's amusement park, built in 1843. Tivoli is right in the middle of downtown and is a must for children of all ages.
There are also a number of gourmet restaurants in Tivoli, such as Nimb. If you like markets and gastronomy, try out Copenhagen's market halls. They are a stone's throw from Nørreport station och carry everything from fresh fish, fruit and vegetables to gourmet chocolate and delicacies. If you need a breather, you'll find The Botanical Gardens a good place to unwind.
