Fully furnished, Cable & WIFI, full kitchen, WD and FREE parking. Outdoor space & dog Friendly with pre-approval.

The Space:
#StayinMyDistrict Coos Bay! Conveniently located to downtown Coos Bay, North Bend, & Bandon. Spacious & updated apartment located in a Charming Historic home that has been converted to six private apartments on 5th Street in Coos Bay. Beautiful and quiet residential neighborhood close to downtown Coos Bay Shopping, dining and entertainment. (6-8 blocks walking distance). This private space with updates and amenities throughout, offers a comfortable place to stay in Coos Bay. Fully furnished, Cable & WIFI, full kitchen, WD and FREE parking.

Fully set up kitchen to make cooking enjoyable and efficient. Full size appliances including refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster to create efficiency. Dishes, utensils and basic cookware included for your convenience.

Dining area features dining table with seating for up to (4) and each unit is equipped with a desk for working from home.

Curl up on the comfy sofa with a blanket and a book, or catch up on your favorite shows. Sofa folds out to a full-size bed for additional guests. Large 50-inch flats screen Smart TV, complete with Netflix, Amazon, Cable and WIFI to complete the necessities!

Comfortable master with a King size bed. Quality linens provided and a large closet space for storing guests’ personal items.

Bathroom has a shower and all bedroom and bathroom linens are high-quality and tastefully decorated. Hairdryer and basic essentials and paper products are available for your arrival.

Enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine on the semi-private sitting area in an enclosed back porch. There is also a common back patio with a propane BBQ and seating overlooking the backyard.

Full-size washer and dryer provided in common laundry area. Laundry has No Card readers in laundry only coin operated.

(1) FREE parking spot available in back parking lot. Street parking is NOT allowed in front of neighboring properties and the City does issue citations.

We do allow up to (2) pre-approved dogs with an additional pet fee of $50. We DO NOT accept cats due to allergies. Please be sure to let us know if you plan on bringing your canine friend and to read and understand our Pet Policy before booking with a pet.

Pack and Play is available onsite. Please let us know if you would like us to set up the Pack and Play for you.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to their private apartment & private patio. There is a common laundry room, and a common outdoor area with BBQ Grill, seating and this space is SHARED with other tenants/guests.

The Neighborhood:
This property is located in a quiet residential neighborhood approximately 6-8 blocks from downtown Coos Bay and the Bay front. Take a Historic Walking Tour of Coos Bay learn to Build a Boat or Tour the Dunes. Visit downtown’s Coos Art Museum for world class exhibits. Enjoy the nationally acclaimed Oregon Coast Music Festival in July. Visit the annual holiday lights display at nearby Shore Acres State Park in December. Coos Bay’s downtown farmer’s market on Wednesdays is very popular. With the ocean just a few miles away, the Bay, and abundant coastal rivers and forests, you can enjoy great fishing and a wide variety of outdoor activities.

Getting Around:
Downtown Coos Bay is within walking distance and there is limited public transportation.

A trio of state parks are located just 13 miles southwest of Coos Bay: Sunset Bay State Park, Shore Acres State Park, and Cape Arago State Park.

Sunset Bay State Park offers extensive picnic and overnight camping facilities, with a spectacular half-moon bay boasting shallow swimming areas and sandy beaches.

Shore Acres State Park features the luxurious gardens from the original estate of pioneer lumberman and shipbuilder Louis J. Simpson. A fully enclosed observation building now occupies the site of Simpson's mansions, offering spectacular view of rugged seascapes, towering storm waves, and glimpses of migrating whales from December through June. The extensive gardens are home to carefully curated plants from around the world, featuring stunning seasonal blooms and a holiday light display from Thanksgiving to New Year's Eve. Shore Acres Holiday Lights has over 300,000 holiday lights with numerous light sculptures and 30 large trees decorated by community groups, including one by the City of Coos Bay.

One mile to the south, Cape Arago State Park has outstanding overlooks, hiking trails, picnic tables, and excellent opportunities for viewing tidepools life and marine mammals (whales, seals, and sea lions).

A hiking trail, which is part of the Coast Trail, connects the three parks.

If you plan to head out to our wonderful beaches along Cape Arago Highway (which dead ends at Cape Arago) there is a shortcut route from south Coos Bay to Charleston via Libby Lane. It makes Charleston 10 minutes away versus 20 or 30 minutes going through town. A map with the route highlighted is available in the apartment for guest use.

Want to try your luck at clamming during your time in Coos Bay? A selection of rubber boots, shovels, and buckets are available for resident use on a first come basis (usually not a problem).

Other Things to Note:
~You may be required to provide a photo of your Drivers License or Government ID directly to the host. This is for the safety and security of both guests & property Owners, and will be requested at the discretion of Stay in My DIstrict.
- Smoking anywhere on the property will result in forfeiture of your entire deposit plus can result in additional fees up to $500 for smoke removal.
- Self Check In using lock box. Check-In is any time after 4:00PM and Check-Out is by 11:00AM.
- A midstay cleaning is required on all stays over 14 nights for an additional fee of $50. Basic cleaning including disinfecting kitchen and bathroom, change linens and clean floors.
- FREE parking on street and in Back LOT
- Pack and Play must be requested ahead of time as it is in storage. It is shared and on a first come basis.

PET FEE: $50 per dog Pet Fee for up to 2 pre-approved dogs.
Please also be aware of our pet policy:
We are happy to welcome your well behaved, and house trained dog into our home! We do NOT accept Cats due to allergies. There is an additional pet fee of $50 per pet, as per my listing details. We will go ahead and request the fee via an alteration request after the booking is confirmed. Please accept ASAP to confirm authorization.
-Pets should not be left unattended at the property inside or outdoors. We do have kennels available on request for an additional fee.
-Please pick up after your pets in outdoor areas immediately. Any pet waste not attended to will be charged at $5 per pile.
-Pets are NOT allowed on furnishings or linens. Evidence of pets on furnishings or linens will result in additional cleaning fees to guest.
-Pet fee accounts for additional cleaning and normal wear & tear due to hosting pets. Pet fee does NOT cover damage or additional cleaning above and beyond reasonable

Interaction with Guests:
We do not live on site but are readily available via text, phone or email. We also have a local property manager available for emergencies.

3 week stay

Stayed here for some schooling in coos bay. It was a great location and way better than a hotel for 3 weeks. Had everything I needed in the kitchen and was very clean and comfortable. I'll be booking again for my next classes!

Worked remotely for 3 days while at the property. Plenty of space to set up work and still have personal space without needing to utilize work space. Very quiet neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops and grocery store. Property is clean and comfortable.

Family Road Trip

We travel quite a bit and stay at numerous VRBO, Air B&B, hotels, etc., so I have a pretty good idea of what to expect. Everything at #StayInMyDistrict was as advertised. It was nice to walk only a few blocks to local restaurants and be centrally located to explore the coast and the amazing sand dunes (a must see). The space was generous in size, light filled with comfortable shaggy-chic vibe. We would for sure stay here again. BTW we had a top floor apartment. Cheers!

Communication was awesome, wonderful neighborhood, and wonderful accomodations. Extremely happy with the ease of reservation, and the host kept us informed and provided communications on a regular basis. Beautiful location.

Short stay in Coos Bay

This property is so very kewl! We loved the apartment. So quirky and funky! Loved the alcoves in living room and bedroom! Great kitchen and the back porch was a fun surprise and a great place for coffee! The furnishings and amenities were spot on. Would definitely stay at this property again and will look for Stay In My District properties in the future. Thanks

Pros: The property is located in a quiet neighborhood; Appliances all worked; Bed WAS VERY comfortable; Lots of natural window light yet room darkening curtains for privacy; Management was very responsive to resolving a fluke power issue; Location not far from ammenities; A basket of free snacks and bottled water. Cons: Parking allowed only in the back of the building off a back alley; POOR lighting from parking to building; LOTS of steep stairs; FEW electrical outlets (only one single in the bathroom); Wall and baseboard trim in need of cleaning (accumulated soot and hair).

A great place

Nice, clean, quiet and safe. I loved staying here. Easy walking distance to the downtown and my client. Snacks on arrival were really helpful. Bring an extension cord for the bathroom if you need to plug stuff in. Management was great, they reached out to me with the info and made sure I was okay. 10/10 - 100% recommend.

Did not stay at night

Well-stocked apartment, great for multiple travelers. I only stayed there one night of my three night booking because it did not feel very safe. The front door is always open, and the locks don't seem secure. There are people digging through the trash on the street all night, so sleeping can be difficult if you are traveling alone.
