Dog Friendly, Quiet Neighborhood, Cozy lower level cabin

This little cabin has been constructed in the lower level of my log home. This cabin is fully equipped. It has a full kitchen with stove and refrigerator, a full bathroom with full shower, a bedroom with a queen size bed that includes all the bedding (linens, blankets and pillows). The living room has a recliner chair as well as a sleep sofa which can sleep two. The living room also has a TV with full cable. It has WiFi for your convenience (Password will be given once your stay has been secured). It has full heat for winter and cold AC for the summer. The kitchen has all complete cookware, glasses, coffee mugs, utensils, a coffee pot with coffee, powdered cream and sugar. You have your own private entrance. A lock box hangs to the left of the entry way with the cabin key in it. Once your getaway is confirmed you will be provided with the combination. This is an exceptionally quiet neighborhood. This is not a party house. It is not suitable for children. I am pet friendly for a number of reasons. I have traveled with my pets for 30 years and have always found it difficult to find pet friendly places. Most pets are considered family members and most pet owners enjoy traveling with their pets. This property is 1/2 mile off Kancamangus one of the most scenic roads in the US. There are countless hiking trails that range from very easy to very difficult very close by. Biking, canoeing, kayaking, skiing (X-country and alpine), horseback riding and golfing are just a few of the many activities close by. For those less enthusiastic about the great outdoors, the infamous "outlet shopping" stores are a short 10 minute drive. The Conway Scenic Railroad is a five minute drive. North Conway has numerous restaurants which is a short 10 minute drive. Darby Field Inn is a stones throw from the little cabin.

Such a great weekend in the mountains. Easy to get to, super quiet and clean. Big windows for natural light. Just a really great cozy cabin, and I loved how dog-friendly it was. I would 100% stay again!

Cozy, Quiet, and Just What We Needed

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend getaway, and it was perfect. The place was super clean, cozy, and exactly what we were looking for, quiet but still close to everything we needed. It was just the two of us (no pets), and we loved how relaxing it felt. A great spot to unwind, and we'd definitely stay again!

Lovely Stay

We had a great time! Very Cozy home, perfect for a weekend away in the mountains. Easy access to the center of town with lots to do in the area. The apartment was beautifully decorated, very clean, and had everything we needed and then some. Marianne was available for any questions and was very thoughtful. Great spot to venture out from to explore.

Christmas and Family

The interior of the cabin was clean, neat and had wonderful little touches that we enjoyed. Marianne could not have been nicer and responded to all questions in a timely fashion. Area was quiet and each morning we watched the sun on the snow capped mountains while enjoying our coffee. We look forward to staying again next year.

Although the property was beautiful and well kept, my husband and I were not under the impression that the owner would be home also with her dog. There was nowhere in the listing that stated this and we were not informed until 2 days prior to our trip. We were there on our one year anniversary with our two dogs who are anxious around other dogs. We made the owner aware of this and still nothing was done. My dogs were growling and anxious the whole night stay because we were able to hear both the owner and the dog. We ended up leaving at 430 in the morning because we were so discouraged. If this information had been properly advertised with the listing we would have never booked it. I hope other people donā€™t find themselves in the same situation as us.

Amazing location and host!

This cabin is in a super convenient location right off of the Kancamagus Highway, and the host Marianne has truly thought of everything! From heated blankets, great toiletries in the shower, and even treats for your dogs, no item was left unturned. There is also Wi-Fi available, which is huge as cell reception is almost nonexistent in the area. Would highly recommend!

We stayed 2 nights and it was great. Had a slight slower water pressure but was taken care of quickly. Even though the host is above us, we heard nothing and your pup was excited for the open space.

Fryeburg Fair

We wanted quiet a place close to the Fryeburg Fair that was pet friendly. Place was well maintained, clean, and the hostess was so accommodating (she even offered to let our dog out while we were away at the fair). If you are travelling with a dog and want a nice place that is dog friendly, this is the best place ever.

Beautiful and Quiet

I canā€™t say enough good things about my stay here! The location was both quiet and peaceful, while being so close to everything I needed and wanted (hiking trails āœ…, restaurants āœ…, shopping āœ…, peace and quiet to get some writing done āœ…āœ…āœ…). Marianne and her adorable dog Karma greeted me as soon as I arrived. They lived on the top floor but I could hardly tell they were even there the rest of the time. Marianne foresaw any possible negatives about the property and thwarted it before it became a problem. Ex: Cold floors? šŸ˜­ here are some slippers! šŸ˜„ And finding the notes was its own little scavenger hunt. You didnā€™t have to question a single thing. All the information was right there. Absolutely loved it here. If Iā€™m ever back in the area, Iā€™ll definitely stay here again!

Great location in a quiet neighborhood and extremely well appointed supplies. There were even shower supplies for our use. Kitchen well outfitted except for scissors and tongs. Both would have been useful for us.

We had to spend a weekend in Northern NH. The property was fantastic. The host is thoughtful and very attentive . I would suggest this property for anyone looking for a quiet getaway - clean, thoughtful , and cozy. If you have fury friends - this is paradise! Trails and attractions are surrounding the location!

Our host Marianne made our stay very relaxing. She is very accommodating and very responsive. We like to hike with our dog. The property is located near several hiking trails with varying degrees of difficulty. Our pup loved it. The cabin was also comfortable enough for us to leave him behind for a short time while we went out for some shopping. We would recommend this property to anyone with a pup who enjoys the outdoors but also likes quiet at night.

Lovely stay on the Kanc!

This was the perfect place to stay while showing my family around the White Mountains! The place was comfortable and had all the necessities we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and in a great location along the Kancamagus for getting to hikes or heading into town if we needed anything. Marianne was a fabulous host as well! The cabin was the perfect size for my wife and I with our two dogs, and had everything that we needed. Being a stone's throw from the Kancamagus Highway, it's a beautiful location and is perfect for seeing White Mountain National Forest. Our host was very communicative while also being considerate of our time and space, and made sure that our pups were just as welcome as we were! Highly recommended.
