"Pros: The location was excellent! We enjoyed a great view of the trees without the noise of traffic. The breakfast was fantastic compared to other 2.5-star hotels; there was plenty of food available. The size of the room was perfect for two adults; it was very comfortable. The staff were available and helpful 24/7. For instance, when we needed to change our bedsheets at around 11 PM, they provided us with a complete set. "Loved the Black Walnut Inn. I would love to go back. The rooms are lovely. Breakfast is delicious. A very generous spread. Self-serve tea and coffee is available at all times in the dining room area. There are also treats one can help oneself too. Chocolate chip cookies our first day and molasses cookies the second. Meghan bakes the best cookies. Seriously, the best. The owners are very warm. If we visit Amherst again, staying here would be our first choice. Thank you."
