"Charming location that allowed exploring the lake district without a car. Frequent buses at the stop nearby. Loved the old stone walls with the slate floors. We have an old house with narrow stairs, so they felt like home. (Hang onto the railing). We arrived in a downpour, and had some trouble locating #14 (overgrown). Thank goodness for SPAR at the gas station for hot coffee and food basics. Go hiking out the back, up the field, around the sheep for some incredible views"
