Cozy Family Sized Cottage in the Country! 15 minutes to Lancaster City!!

Come & Stay at our lovely, family sized cottage in the Country!! This well cared for home is only 15 minutes west of LANCASTER CITY, near to the Susquehanna River and close to many other outdoor destinations and activities such as the Turkey Hill Trail, Enola Low Grade Biking Trail, Chestnut Grove Natural Area, Shenk's Ferry Wildflower Preserve, Safe Harbor Dam Fishing, Chickies Rock, and the Northwest River Trail. This cottage has a cozy kitchen, dining room, living room with reclining couches, 3 bedrooms, and a full bath all on the main floor. A sprawling, open basement with a full bath, cozy sitting nook, and an outside entrance with a wide doorway that opens onto the driveway, makes a wonderful place to stretch out and relax. A nice sized yard outside is a perfect place to play some games or watch the stars in the clear night sky!!! Wake up every morning, and have breakfast with a few fresh chocolate chip cookies and healthy eggs from our pasture raised flock of chickens!!! And there is no need to hurry home when the weekend is over.......there is reliable, high speed, Wi-Fi here so that you can keep up with business and school away from home. So go ahead and enjoy an extra night or two!!! We have a 3 night minimum stay... or, stay for 7 nights and take advantage of our weekly rate!!!

This home was very welcoming. It was clean and had everything we needed. The host left us breakfast foods, snacks and drinks. It was in a perfect location for where we wanted to go. If you need a stay in this area, I highly recommend!

Our hosts stocked the fridge with fresh eggs, bread, sausage, milk, and juice. There was plenty of coffee, hot chocolate, and snacks. The home was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was a quiet and restful place to retreat to after a busy day.

This is probably the most organized property I have stayed at. It was so nice to have stuff breakfast the next morning after checking in at 1am. The kitchen was nicely stocked. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillow. And the closet full of extra toys made the stay for my 3 young children great. And the best part was the cookie dough in the freezer. The chocolate chip cookies were the best I have ever had. I love going to Lancaster in the fall and I will always try to stay here in the feature. I loved that my kids felt at home here.

The entire cottage is beautiful ! Everything was clean and organized. Plenty of space for visiting. The kitchen has a coffee bar that was stocked and ready as soon as we arrived. The refrigerator was full of food for breakfast and the freezer had ready to bake cookies which we all enjoyed !! The cottage surpassed our expectations. We have family nearby and will definitely see if the cottage is available next time we visit. Thank you for wonderful and relaxing weekend !! Plus, the neighbors even have a farm stand next door with fresh eggs, pumpkins and vegetables !!

Check in was super easy! The home was absolute beautiful! Extraordinarily clean! We will definitely book again. The host left many treats for us which was so kind and made us smile. Wonderful place

Five adults attending an event at Lancaster Convention Center. The rooms were wonderful. Minor issue was location of nightstands in the bedrooms but we managed. Kitchen was fully stocked. I was surprised to find so many provisions- eggs, sausages, milk, OJ, apple juice, pancakes, yogurt, butter, cereal, all the condiments and snacks. Fantastic! Quiet area, beautiful views. We were here mostly to sleep so lack of television wasn’t an issue but I could see it being good to have for a family in the evening or if weather is bad. Wonderful place. We hope to stay here again. Big thank you to the hosts!!

Wonderful house!

This property is in rural PA, with gorgeous views and all the amenities! Our kids loved the house with an open basement to play and chickens to watch. Everything was stocked, you truly needed only the food you specifically wanted for the week. The host was great at communicating and even offered their wagon when we thought our 5 yr old couldnt do all the walking we had planned. The eggs and cookies were a wonderful treat! I would say, there aren't any TVs in the house but there is internet. Our kids had a lot to do and we had our own technology. It was awesome! Highly recommend

Truly the best amenities

We loved our visit. Wendell and Twiline provided way more than was required or expected. Milk, juice, bread, sausage, farm fresh eggs and much, much more. It felt like being at home. Cozy, comfy, and and exceptionally clean. clean.

Pleasant State in the rolling hills

What a lovely home. I stayed here with my mother-in-law who was 91 and my husband. We would be happy to return to this lovely home which was so well supplied. There were were more towels than we could possibly used, extra pillows, wonderful kitchen supplies and loads of snacks and breakfast provided. Everything was clean and and just lovely.

Great cozy home

This home was great as a base camp for our travel through local history in the region. It was convenient to Lancaster County proper, Lititz, and Gettysburg. The home allowed us to relax in the evenings with quiet time and provided us a chance to hit the day running with eggs and sausage for breakfast. We will recommend this home to family/friends who may travel to the area.

Absolutely loved this property. The house was as welcoming and homey as your own! The fridge was nicely stocked with essentials upon arrival (even had organic yogurt pouches for my little one). The basement is nice and wide open for little ones to run around! The beds are all firm memory foam which I am not a fan of but of course that is preference!

Wonderful place to stay

This was our 2nd stay here and it was just as good as the first. We will definitely be back again. Plenty of space to spread out in the basement. Stocked with plenty of snacks and breakfast items.

Great stay; fantastic house

We came on a lady's trip to see Sight and Sound - the house is between 25-42 minutes to any major attraction. We saw one of the local Amish Museums; the Amish Farmer's Market; Sight and Sound; One to the Several buffet style restaurants and we made a quick trip to Hershey Chocolate world - The house is more than expected. I have never stayed in such an accurately descripted and clean VRBO and I've stayed in my fair share. The description states they will provide everything you need for breakfast and we thought that meant one breakfast - there was enough for all mornings we were there if we wanted. Including fresh eggs. We will definitely be back if we are in the area again. The only thing I will mention if you go with kids and were hoping for a place for them to plop in the house to settle after a long day and watch a little tv, there is no tv on site. We didn't care, but it is worth noting - we did have iPads, etc if we wanted to use them but found ourselves busy enough we didn't really care. Thanks for a great stay and enjoy yours if you choose this house.
