Everything is within walking distance of the apartment: The château, historic town center and forest are less than 10 minutes away, the SNCF train station is 20 minutes by public transport, and Parc de Bayser is a 5-minute walk away.

A bakery, pharmacy and Carrefour supermarket are less than 10 minutes away.

The neighborhood is relatively quiet. With the "Picardie" station nearby, line 1 of the TIC bus takes you free of charge to anywhere in Compiègne, and in 24 minutes to the SNCF train station.

Roissy CDG airport 40 minutes away and 1 hour from Paris on the A1 freeway. The castles of Pierrefonds (17 mins) and Chantilly (45 mins) are within easy reach, as is the medieval city of Senlis (38 mins).
