    The North End Nest is at the heart of historic Colorado Springs. It is very close to many of the local Colorado Springs attractions. The spacious house is a very comfortable space was originally built in 1918 and totally remodeled in 2023 with modern amenities and granite countertops. It's like a brand new house! It was formerly a neighborhood store and more recently hosted neighborhood children as a daycare. Now turned into a home, it boasts three nice sized bedrooms and a spacious living/dining room with a sofa that can sleep one or two small children. Colorado Springs STR Permit 24-0446.

    Living Room & Dining Area --
    To help you relax after a long day of exploring, the cozy living room boasts a smart television with streaming services and local channels as well as games, books and toys for the little ones. The living room also includes a dining set for your family meals.

    Kitchen --
    Open to the living and dining area, you will find a brand new kitchen, fully loaded, with everything you will need to cook meals during your stay. We will have tea, coffee, cream, hot cocoa & sugar available. The kitchen is also loaded up with pots, pans, bowls, a strainer, utensils, fridge, cooktop, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, mixer, blender and a kettle. Additional cooking supplies, such as spices, are above the stove. Cleaning supplies are under the sink.

    Bedrooms --
    A King size bed in one room, Queen size beds in the remaining two bedrooms, and a couch in the living room that one could sleep on (does not pull out, but is very comfortable). We provide high quality bedding, pillows in varying stiffness for optimum comfort, and fresh bamboo linens. Hangers, closets, & luggage racks are available to store your belongings during your stay.

    Bathrooms --
    One bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower and a single vanity. The second bathroom has a luxurious soaker tub and double vanity. Both bathrooms include freshly laundered towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap. We also provide cotton balls, cotton swabs, hair dryer and extra rolls of toilet paper. We leave at least one bath towel and two wash cloths per guest, plus a couple of extras.

    Children --
    We have a few children's items for your convenience, including games and a basket of toys in the living room and a booster seat and pack 'n play in the laundry room. We do have a playground behind the house. Use at your own risk. It is old and has splinters, but is otherwise stable, please use your judgment in using this amenity. Various playgrounds are also within walking distance, the closest being at the Good Neighbor's Meeting House on Columbia Street, two blocks East of the home.

    Outdoor --
    There is a fully fenced outdoor space you are welcome to enjoy. The front of the home has outdoor seating where you can enjoy a peekaboo view of the mountains. Please use caution when using the playground in the backyard, use at your own risk and liability.

    Laundry --
    There is a laundry room adjacent to the living room with a complimentary washer, dryer, laundry detergent, laundry baskets, iron, ironing board, utility sink, and various cleaning supplies. Extra linens can be found in the dresser in the laundry room.

    Parking --
    Street parking is available directly in front of the home. Because this home used to be a daycare, there are parking signs. Feel free to park between those signs anytime. They are no longer enforced since it is no longer a school :) You may also park on the rock driveway next to the home, please keep driveway gate open for Wednesday trash pickup. If you have more than two cars, please consider parking on the rock next to the house to save street spaces for our neighbors, but please leave room for trash pickup.

    Heat/AC --
    We have central heat and AC controlled by the Nest thermostat found in the hallway.

    Remote Working --
    High speed fast WIFI is available as well as a peaceful workspace with a large desk in the back bedroom.

    NO Smoking/Vaping Inside --
    Smoking, in accordance with Colorado law, is permitted outside. Please properly dispose of cigarette butts. Smoking anything (tobacco, marijuana, vaping) inside the home is NOT PERMITTED - loss of security deposit will occur.

    Early/Late Check-in/out fees apply. If you are in need of an early check-in or early check-out time, please notify me in advance to make sure arrangements can be made.

House was as described. Clearly the inside has been recently renovated and it looked incredible. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths gave us plenty of room. Excellent kitchen with labels to help you find what you need easily. Very ingenious. The host was very easy to contact and checked in with us during our stay to make sure all was well. Super friendly and attentive. House is located in a very quiet neighborhood and very close to Colorado College and the downtown area. Easy access to the highway as well. The house was tastefully decorated and in great condition. House was built in the early 20th century but indoors it was very modern and up-to-date. It created a very relaxlng environment and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
