Wow!
Such an amazing area to stay in! Cripple creek right down the road was absolutely beautiful! It almost didn’t even feel real it was such an amazing part of Colorado to stay in and we intend to come back next year!

A few highs but more lows
When we arrived at the property at 4:00 PM for check in, there was no key in the lockbox. The property owners finally arrived at 6:30 PM. Sitting in our car for 2.5 hours in the snow, was not ideal. The snowy, steep driveway was difficut to get up - even in our 4x4. It had not been cleared. My sons shoveled snow for an hour+ plus put down rock salt to help us eventually get up the driveway. Whoever stayed in the property before us, left trash in an outisde bin so animals had gotten into it and trash was strewn everywhere. When the property owners finally arrived and let us in, the cabin heat had been turned off and the temp was in the 40s inside. The property owners also went outside to pick up all the trash. They brought in wood to help heat up the cabin. The Cabin's view was the BEST part of the cabin. We also had large mule deer around the property frequently and that was really awesome to see. The shower water temp was cold - so on a few mornings we just washed our hair in the kitchen sink. (Shower temp a big issue in the winter.) There's no dishwasher or clothes washer or dryer on the property. The pull out coach was comfortable - according to our sons. The main bedroom bed was also comfortable - though it was difficult to regulate the heat in that room. The owners eventually offered us $50 for our delayed check in. Overall, a pretty below average experience.

Amazing Week at The Cabin
My husband and I stayed a week at the cabin and we were pleasantly surprised at our entire stay. We have not had the best luck with vacation rentals, but we will definitely be back to this one. Cabin pictures on the site are spot on, the views, the interior and the area are awesome. The WI-FI was something we were not expecting and we enjoyed being able to keep in touch with family and appreciated the selection of TV channels. The cabin is stocked with just about anything you could possibly need for a home away from home. The only downside is the steep driveway, so glad we brought our 4x4 pickup, but hubby said our AWD SUV would have made it just fine. Totally recommend this jewel and hope we get to return soon, THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR CABIN AND THESES VIEWS WITH US!

Loved our stay
This was such a great getaway. We really loved the location. Even though there were other cabins in the area, we could not see any from the front deck. Most of the time there was total silence. There were no lights anywhere outside so at night the stars were AMAZING! Overall we loved staying here, we hope to go back again.

Absolute peace and quiet with an amazing view
This is the second time that I’ve stayed in the cabin and looking forward to the next. Amazing view from the deck and if it should happen to rain, just move up a step to a large covered deck. The view is amazing. Everything you need is provided, and the cabin and the area is spotless.

Cabin is very nice and in a great location! The view off the deck is AMAZING!! I spent a lot of time out there. Cabin was perfect for my wife & I. Only complaints are: runner had what appeared to be quite a bit of dog hair on it. Oven needs a cleaning bad. Other than those small issues 👍

Great getaway
Its only about 40 min drive to Co Springs which we loved. There is no cell signal at that cabin, which was fabulous for our getaway. Perfect stay for the two of us.

We were so happy with our stay. The view was phenomenal. Communication was easy and the whole process was seamless. We were close enough to all the places we wanted to visit, but far enough for a peaceful getaway.

Awesome cabin
Me and my wife ready enjoyed our stay. We came out to hike and we were not disappointed. So many trails within 30 mins of the cabin. Cripple creek is a pretty cool place, we went for the minor tour and ate at salt grass steak house and it was amazing. Definitely planning on coming back. Driveway up was good the first day but it rained and was washed out the second and had to use 4wd to get up but if you have an suv it would get up just fine. We had an awesome time and can’t wait to come back.

Not Clean
Cabin is cute but someone is not doing a $100 cleaning job or checking on their cabin. Floors were not clean. Oven filthy and full of grease. stove top and drawer pulls all greasy. Table, chairs and rocking chair had crumbs on them. Counter tops not clean. Inside trash can had dried food on lid and can. Sliding doors barely open. wood burning stove and hearth covered in ashes.(didn’t use) Tub and shower water like warm, hot everywhere else. Dried dog poop around deck from previous renters not picked up. We vacuumed and cleaned all surfaces and vacuumed again before we left. Too bad because place is really cute but not kept up.

Altitude with attitude is the perfect place for a couples retreat. Location is wonderful a few minutes drive to Cripple Creek or Divide and only 30 minutes to Monitou and beautiful,

Beautiful Property!
This cabin exceeded our expectations! Secluded but close enough to the town of Divide for necessities. The kitchen was well stocked with all cooking utensils. Queen bed was very comfortable and extra blankets if needed. The wood burning stove made it all the more cozy and kept it very warm. We drive a Jeep and still had to use 4WD to get up the driveway due to snow. So keep that in mind. The views that surrounded us were beautiful. We can't wait to go back in the summer and enjoy the deck.

2nd visit !! Amazing Cabin!
I cannot say enough great things about this cabin! This was our 2nd stay and will come back again. Clean, secluded ….in the woods, great kitchen amenities, everything you need for a nice peaceful getaway. Can’t wait to go back!

Cozy Cabin
We had a great time staying in the Altitude with Attitude cabin! The view is spectacular. It’s secluded but easy to get to. It’s probably noted in the listing that there is no dishwasher, but I didn’t realize it until we got there. Slight snafu with the key, but cleared up fairly quickly. Bed was very comfortable, although our son informed us the fold out couch was not. We would stay here again when just the two of us.

Great View!
Great location and view of Sentinel Point. Although it took a couple of days to acclimatize to the 9050+ Alt, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin. The detractors were the dishes, pots & pans. They just need replacing due to age and wear. We recommend bring in your own. The sheets & towels has a heavy perfume like smell from detergents/softeners. We were sensitive to the smell and had to air them out to use. No instructions for TV or WiFi. Ok in our case because we enjoyed the solitude. Bit worried though about local weather considering the shape of the driveway. The driveway definitely needed to graded to fill in the washed out gullies which made driving difficult. Recommend high clearance vehicles when using this cabin. Overall, We had an enjoyable stay & would definitely rent again.

I will ask the cleaners to ensure they are using a mild detergent moving forward! We had directions for the TV and wifi in the welcome book but I will ensure it is still there! A great way to unplug
My friend and I loved getting away to this cabin in the mountains. We had a couple issues with getting the WiFi and DVD player to work but not having WiFi ended up being a blessing in disguise as it gave us an opportunity to truly unplug and relax. I'd say don't rely on definitely having WiFi and maybe bring some DVDs (no blurays) of your own if you wanna watch some things. Also, make sure you don't reset the router if you do have WiFi troubles as this caused some extended problems. But again, embrace being up in a beautiful location. The home itself was also very cozy and you can tell it's been updated a bit. Kitchen was pretty well stocked - just in need of a larger frying pan if you're cooking bigger batches of things as there were only 2 pretty small ones. All in all we'd definitely stay here again!

Thank you so much for letting me know about the wifi and the dvd player! I am working on getting a new cord up there for the DVD player to hopefully solve that issue! I did speak with Peak Internet, they said hitting the reset button took all of the settings out completely but I think we have gotten it all back up and running.

Listing inaccuracies
This cabin was a jewel- we spent two vacations here in the previous years, and were looking forward to spend a week here again. It is true- it is cozy and situated in the great location. The new owner made some modifications to the cabin such as a new couch, electric range and a new microwave. The grill seems to be also new, unfortunately we would not be able to use it because it was dirty. While the cabin was very clean, besides the grill and some dirty shelves in the fridge, and some burnt wood logs outside in the yard, there were some listing inaccuracies which unpleasantly surprised us. Bottled water was not provided although it was listed under amenities as well as some small appliances like toaster. Not there! So, bring one if you would like to toast your bread or waffles. We were prepared not to have WiFi connection, and “be off grid”. We knew about it from previous years, but at least we had TV service and radio through the Satellite antenna. These two are no longer available! It is not clear, why the owner decided to stop the Direct TV service. So if cabin guests would like to watch TV, or listen to the radio, they would need to bring their own Satellite antenna to get these services. Bring water for drinking, cleaning and also for bathing! Sometimes they fail to refill the water! Previously, the host of this place did not recommend to drink water out of the facet. And who does that, before even running it through the filter? The pictures of the cabin have not been updated in years. Some things changed, some things are no longer there.

Thank you for writing your review as we wouldn’t know how to improve without them. I would like to address a few discrepancies. I do feel you and I have already spoken regarding quite a bit of this. The toaster was there- in the cabinet, I am sorry it was not on the counter- we don’t like to clutter the counter with items some people may/may not use, rather have it available, if needed. I am sorry to hear you had previously ran out of water- unsure how to address that with you as it was prior to when I managed the property. The owners have owned the property when you visited the last couple of times, and appreciate the feedback you have provided. The owners have also decided to put wifi in the property- I am sorry the cable was the deciding factor in your decision to leave the cabin. There are regular channels to watch the news- no cable needed. After your stay, the owner has decided to reinstall the water dispenser- although Rainbow Valley does put out a drinking water report yearly, and it has never stated the water is not consumable. We hope your next stay can be seamless.

Peaceful getaway
The views from this house are amazing as is the refreshing peacefulness. My dog has become so frightened of the nightly fireworks in my neighborhood. I specifically rented Altitude with Attitude so escape the craziness of the 4th of July. It was an unbelievable change to go from warzone to just... absolute... peace... and... quiet. I loved this house! It was super comfortable, and a lot of things have been updated for the better since the pictures have been taken. There were a few minor issues (DirectTV was out and water flows in the kitchen sink was just a mere trickle) which barely detracted from my stay. Be prepared to be "off the grid." This is no wifi, and I was only able to get one bar of cell service at the home. A lot of people may consider this a PLUS! :-)

Refreshing Getaway!
Our second time staying in this peaceful, quiet cabin and enjoying the beautiful views. Just what these two teachers needed, and we would totally stay here again! Everything was perfect, except that there was not a hairdryer, as stated. Certainly not a deal-breaker, and thankfully, hair dries fast in the dry climate! This is one of the best places we have ever stayed in Colorado. Thank you--we hope to return!

Birthday Getaway and Hiking Adventure
I booked this property as a surprise to my husband for his birthday! We took our two aussie pups up to the mountains for a getaway and hiking adventure and had the absolute best time. The lot that the cabin is located on is absolutely gorgeous and truly a getaway. My phone did not have the best network out there, but my husband was able to get some service. We actually enjoyed the serenity though! Able to just disconnect for the week. There are so many trails nearby to hike and some cute towns to visit for food if you are interested as well. Jessica let us know everything beforehand and even sent out a list of places nearby to visit/try if we wanted. It was a great trip and we will definitely be visiting again :)

I took my fiancé for his birthday for the weekend and we brought our dogs This cabin is super cozy it makes you feel right at home We could not get over the view from the deck the photos do not do it justice It truly felt like we were out in the middle of nowhere and we had some Deer frequent the property daily It was a great getaway would come back

Great view...but we had a few things that need attention
The view is just as the picture shows! However, I made the property manager aware that all but one electric heater did not work. I checked the breaker, and reset it but there must be a short as it trips immediately. It was a cold cabin when we first checked in! The fireplace was nice to warm it up after we found out the wood was in the shed. Remember you don't have cell or internet so it's hard to even ask questions when you get there. Thankfully Jessica answered the wood question after we drove to get cell service. The kitchen light also doesn't work, which also made it very difficult to cook and do dishes. I finally just moved a desk light to the fridge to help, hopefully she has the electric issues fix for the next guests. We would stay again, but I think as our kids get older I will find a larger place for 4.

Thanks for leaving your review! We have scheduled the electrician to come visit the home to get everything back in order! I apologize you had to drive for service, I’ll confirm the welcome book is out in the open that gives my number (accessible from the landline in the kitchen) and explains where all the extra wood is located. The little cabin can get a little too cozy with growing kiddos!

This beautiful cabin with beautiful views could have been home for the full week without traveling down the mountain. However, there were many things to do in the area and we only touched a few. Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge, Cripple Creek and Victor with all the God Mines and things to explore. Lots of gamboling in Cripple Creek, but that wasn't our thing. We drove all over including a wonderful trip through Phantom Canyon. While narrow and somewhat dangerous, it made for a wonderful tirp back to the cabin from the Royal Gorge. One of the neighbors dogs, a boxer visited several times and was right at home with us. The Starling Jays were beautiful to watch cling to trees and bounce around on the ground. We saw a lot of mule deer around, and one on the bluff behind the cabin. Hummingbirds buzzed around. A lot of reviews complained about the water supply because of the cistern system. We were conservitive with our water usage but had no problems. The other complaint was the steepness of the drive. It was dry the whole time we were there and had no problems. They suggest going past the drive and trun around to get a little start for the hill. We had 4X4 and I used it, but not that bad and wouldn't have been needed using their suggestion. I talked to Jessica a couple of times and she was wonderful and interested in a successful stay. This was a Godly Blessed experience at this wonderful cabin on the side of a Colorado mountain.

Serendipity at altitude!
This cabin was a perfect fit for my husband, myself and our dog Polly. We had great views of the western side of Pikes Peak and Sentinel Peak. Thanks to the wonderful guidebook that the host provided, we explored many hikes in the area. The covered deck was our go to hangout place for morning coffee and after hikes in the afternoon. We also enjoyed many dinners on the deck! The cabin was very clean and organized. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!
