Family Friendly lake home, beach, level lot, fire pit, game room, dog friendly!

At Bonding Time LLC, we invite you to come enjoy this beautiful new construction home on Curtis Lake in Waushara County. Relaxation at the lake in the middle of peaceful Amish country, and amazing sunsets year round. Great for all ages, as the expansive 2 1/2 acre yard is level and the 130 feet of sandy bottom shoreline is walk-in entry. Imagine laughing and telling stories at the firepit while roasting marshmallows while the kids play on the playset. Sit outside all day in the summer and enjoy this peaceful 35 acre no-wake lake. Everyone will have something to enjoy whether it's fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, row boat or canoeing.
Indoors there's an area to socialize on each level of the house, including a "theater" area and game room with ping pong table and darts. Air hockey table in the garage does not need coins to operate.
There's plenty of space to spread out over three levels. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a loft TV area with a queen sleeper sofa. Main level has a master bedroom King bed with en suite bathroom and open concept living / dining area, and an additional shared full bathroom. Lower level has an entertainment area, "theater" area, and two Queen bed bedrooms with a shared full bathroom.

Dogs allowed at owner discretion. Please inquire before booking! Apply fee when making your reservation.

The house has outdoor surveillance cameras that are not to be covered or adjusted at any time.

The washer & dryer are mainly for owner use and we provide enough detergent for you to wash & dry the bath towels before check out. If you need to do a couple of loads of personal laundry during your stay that’s okay, but please do not plan for more than that.

** We provide a limited supply of products (3 rolls toilet paper per bathroom and 2 rolls of paper towels per week), Napkins, Kleenex, Saran Wrap, Ziploc baggies, trash bags, foil, shampoo, laundry soap, etc.) but do not replenish during your stay.

The kitchen will be stocked with everything (except food) you need to make and serve a meal for a large group. You shouldn’t need to bring kitchen items from home unless there’s something special you don’t travel without! Ask if you have any questions. There is a second refrigerator in the garage. Plan to bring ice if you want it for drinks or coolers.

The home is gorgeous! Beds comfy. Kitchen is sooo well stocked to serve anything which what we did which was a Thanksgiving feast. The communication from the hosts was outstanding. Very comfortable house and the holiday decorations and touches were sooo thoughtful and gorgeous. Made us feel like we were home. Decor and furniture are beautiful. So many spots to hang out separately if you want some quiet space or watch different movies or shows. There are three separate tv areas where everyone can do their own thing. Home theater area is perfect. Ping pong and air hockey. Fun lake toys are there though it wasn't the weather to use them. Amazing fire pit area. Great house to relax and enjoy your family. Thank you Dave for keeping us updated n weather and everything. Take care!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake home with family including small children. The layout was perfect! Each family had their own space to sleep and the living room, dining room and kitchen are open concept and spacious. We had a few minor issues during our stay but the hosts responded immediately and took care of the problem. They were very friendly and responsive. Although we didn’t get to use the outside space very much because of the weather, the backyard and lake access is gorgeous. Highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a peaceful relaxing vacation!

We had a wonderful stay! This home was perfect for our 3 families with young kids. The house was extremely clean with a lot of fun activity options - ping pong & air hockey were a hit! The large, flat yard with a swing set was great for outdoor play, and we loved the private beach area along with kayaks, canoes, and the Lilly pad for fun-filled days on the lake.

We had a wonderful stay! The big flat yard was perfect for yard games. The shallow water, water toys and sand beach entertained all for hours along with the mini playground. The house had plenty of space for all to relax together or apart. Very peaceful and relaxing, would absolutely recommend.

Beautiful home and large backyard. Plenty of kitchen space and bedrooms were roomy and comfortable.There were ample supply of water crafts for us to use. The only wish we have is that the water were deeper and swim able. There was a lot of algae and muck so we couldn’t enjoy being in the water. Even to paddle board or kayak was difficult to cut through the weedy areas of the lake. We would love to come back if the lake were clean and swim able. Also, there was a beautiful stone fire pit that we would have totally enjoyed but the bugs were horrible after dusk therefore we couldn’t be outside.

Amazing place to stay!

We absolutely loved it here and are thinking of booking again in the future. The home was absolutely gorgeous and on a small, idyllic lake where we watched bald eagles fishing for their breakfast. We had 6 adults, 4 kids aged 8-13 and a dog. My kids LOVED the ping pong table and my nephew claimed the air hockey table. There were enough bedrooms/beds for everyone to sleep comfortably and enough space for everyone to spread out. We liked the 3 separate TV areas so the teens and tweens could have an anime marathon while we watched a movie upstairs.We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards, rowing out to see the fish and get a closer look at the birds and forest around the lake. My kids had an absolute blast and best of all were not glued to their phones the entire time. This is the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation. We didn’t explore much of the area, instead we enjoyed the solitude. Our family brought all the food and everything you need to cook and serve a meal is provided.The hosts are kind and super responsive with any questions we had during our stay. I highly recommend this property!

Perfect Family Vacation

We loved our Family Vacation at Abby Shores! The inside and outside spaces fit us perfectly. Very comfortable and spacious accommodations. The outdoor playset and sandy beach was a big hit with our 2yr old grandson. Quiet and peaceful location with gorgeous sunsets! Our hosts, Dave and Diane were excellent and easy to work with. Fabulous House!!

5 stars to all the things!! We had a party of 11 relatives staying the weekend for a wedding at the nearby Caribou Bay Retreat. The weather was beautiful and we loved the indoor and outdoor space this home provided. Everyone had their own spaces! We had 15yrs to 84 yrs in the same house and it was lovely! The beds were quite comfortable and the pillows weren't pancake style like you get in hotels. Kitchen was well appointed and we cooked and grilled during our stay. The lake scenery was beautiful and we made good use of the row boat and paddleboat. The outside games were also used. Even though we didn't have a fire (burn ban) we all sat around the fire pit enjoying the day. The caretakers provided great instructions and all the rules were definitely within reason. We took care of their house as if it were our own. Also, my husband loved the football memorabilia in the lower level! Great house and great people to work with!

Fall Family Get Away

Very spacious property both inside and out. Beautiful setting on the lake surrounded by trees, private. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in outside of my own and so much for our grandchildren to do, air hockey, bags, sandy beach, playset, ping-pong, darts, park right next door. Drove into Wautoma on Saturday morning and found some great shops, coffee shop and we were surprised to find a Fall Festival. Grandkids loved it! Perfect weekend getaway. Should have made it a four-day weekend. Will definitely stay here again.

Quick trip

We stayed with three families with kids ages 2-10. This is a beautiful property that includes everything you need! The weather was still warm so we all took advantage of being on the water with the kayaks, paddle boat, and canoe. There were plenty of life jackets. The fire pit, outside furniture, and play set were a big hit for everyone. The kids loved the ping pong table in the basement and air hockey in the garage. The home was very clean inside with plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen includes everything you need to prep meals. We really enjoyed our stay and wish we would have stayed longer!!

Girls Weekend Away

I have stayed with Diane and Dave several times and have always been extremely pleased! From the booking to the check out, Diane and Dave are amazing hosts! This stay was a girlfriend getaway and everything was perfect! The home is beautiful and very well stocked! You are able sit back and enjoy your vacation the minute you open the front door!

Quality Family Time

We loved our stay at Abby Shores. The home is beautiful with plenty of room to spread out for a large gathering. The amenities were wonderful. We enjoyed the home and the outdoor space too. Our grands (ages 1-5) loved the calm lake, sandy beach, and swing set. There was also shade available to keep us cool during the heat of the day. The adults enjoyed the fireplace and lake being just steps from the home. We thoroughly impressed with the number of kayaks, paddle boards and canoes. This allowed a large number of us to head out on the lake at the same time. on the one rainy day, we took the kids out to the garage to play games and have more space to roam. we had a small issue with the water supply/pressure. He immediately addressed our needs. Highly recommend!

Pleasant Stay

Modern and well equipped home. However, furniture on main level was generally uncomfortable. LL was better with nice theatre seating. Also contained ping-pong table and other games. Air hockey unit was in attached garage. Responsive owners who we've dealt with before. The lake is shallow and "weedy" but ok for swimming. Abundant but small fish. No motor boats allowed...only canoes, row boats, low-wake vessels. Property abuts public access for the lake but it was usually no big deal. Location is somewhat remote requiring 10-20 minute drive to civilization. Overall, a pleasant week.

Peaceful Family Retreat

We truly enjoyed the house, its amenities and the lake. It's really one of a kind. The house was beautiful, spacious and well equipped. The location was serene and peaceful throughout our stay. There are no motorboats allowed on the lake, so it was rowers and paddlers of all sorts, but no speeding motor boats or other motorized personal watercrafts buzzing about. The only loud noises were the occasional lawn being mowed, kids having fun at the neighboring county park or on the water. Our neighbors were friendly and respectful. We took advantage of the paddle boat, row boat, kayaks, paddle boards and canoes provided by the hosts. The kids loved the beach, spacious yard and playset. We also enjoyed the fire pit, outdoors lounging areas and yard games provided by our hosts. If I were to make any suggestions, it would be to update the dining room seats as some of them have lost proper support and your bottom can sink down through the cushion below the wooded frame. We stayed up late playing games and it became uncomfortable fairly quickly. We found the mattress in the primary bedroom to be uncomfortable and noisy. Finally, we could not locate any life vests or proper floatation devices you would expect to be present, when provided boats, paddle boards and canoes. In all we really enjoyed our stay and would rent from our host again in the future.

Review

Great house and property. Leak in plumbing that resulted in a very musty smell in a downstairs bed room even with use of dehumidifier. Owners were prompt in addressing but not sure how they will get rid of smell without some major work with sheetrock and replacing flooring. We stayed 2 years ago, and an electric pontoon was available. Not informed would not be an option. This was a disappointment for some of the family members. Would still highly recommend and return again.
