"The house is large and comfortable. Fabulous kitchen with huge island. Kitchen furnished very nicely. Loft was very cozy & comfortable. Nice sized bedrooms & bathrooms. Master suite is huge. Great whole house sound system. House location made for easy access with minimal traffic. Not on water, but very short walk to nice beach/recreation area. Host communicated very well. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Great location, owner very responsive and courteous. Very clean. Location very convenient yet very quiet and peaceful. "

"We enjoyed a great time with our family at the cottage. We had so much fun around the fire pit with the beautiful river view. So peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed playing games and grilling and sitting on the deck. Everything was comfortable and accommodating. Communication was perfect. Our stay was short but everyone had a great time."

"Perfect cabin getaway on a quiet, clean lake! The cabin was very clean, host was excellent with communication, everything was as advertised. We loved the boathouse and went kayaking, played ping pong upstairs, and had a fire in the evening. Would highly recommend. Definitely will be a place we will stay at again! "

"We wanted a place that we could swim in clean water with some privacy. The beach area was fantastic - the water is extremely deep and blue. The property was clean and Grand Rapids is close enough to get groceries or explore. We visited the forest museum ands few local restaurants.Breanna was fast to respond to any questions, The kids liked the friendly chipmunk on the beach. Would recommend to anyone!"

"It is a nice rustic cabin to stay in, but it has the amenities you need, including good Wi-Fi - as long as a teenager doesn't unplug the router to plug in a fan. We used it as a base camp to fish area lakes, but it would be a good place to take a smaller outdoor oriented family. There's a lot of yard and a really nice lake with very nice sandy bottom and relatively good fishing."

"We had a truly wonderful and peaceful stay at this cabin. The location is incredibly pristine — deep in the woods, quiet, and perfect for a relaxing retreat. The cabin itself was very comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and a clean, inviting hot tub/jacuzzi. We even saw deer nearby, which added to the charm.The nearby lake is beautiful, with crystal-clear water. We loved that it was private and had free access to canoes and kayaks. There’s also a connected lake that felt even more secluded...

"Highly recommend! It is true “glamping” with all the amenities of a hotel room, but a lake view from the master bedroom in the morning is amazing. Very attentive host, all the utensils you need, Keurig coffee maker, full bath with plenty of hot water & lake access. Beautiful sitting areas by the lake, plenty of fire pits & outdoor games. We will be booking here again and the outdoor experience with perfect location from Grand Rapids is worth it! "

"Beautiful historic log cabin with all the amenities you would want. The grounds are well kept and very scenic. The area is very peaceful, relaxing, and interesting. This is our second year coming to the Marcel Lodge and have had a fantastic experience both times."

"Unbelievably the worst listing on VRBO1out of 10 NO WAY 9.8I keep trying to figure out how to have VRBO take this listing off of their site. It is an embarrassment for a lovely rental site. Nobody should rent anything on this property."

"We had an amazing time at the chalet! I don’t think I’ve ever received better customer service than I did with Trent, the property owner! Everything was impeccably clean, quiet, and serene! My family and I adored the wood-burning hot tub and spent a day out canoeing and kayaking on the lake… Even found a fun sandbar to fish with the kids! We would definitely come back again!"

"Nice water front cabin! Great area for boating, biking, and hiking. Short bike ride to the Mesabi Bike Trail. Mike is very accommodating to your needs. Well kept place, very clean with nice touches like bottles of water, coffee, very nice towels etc. The separate screen porch is a nice addition giving views of the lake. Swan Lake is an above average lake, clear water and I was told a decent fishing lake. We would definitely stay there again. "

"I stayed a week with my family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children age 9, 10, and 14). We had an amazing stay. The lake water is super clear. The area is so peaceful and relaxing. The house comes with 2 kayaks, a paddle boat, and even some tubes for floating. The water was a good depth and temperature for swimming.
