"The cabin was clean and great for driving into Lamar Valley. They appear to be building a few cabins, so with the construction nearby and recent heavy rain, it was a bit muddy trying to get parked, but we made it. The stoop is concrete but the driveway is gravel, so we carried our suitcases rather than rolling them over the mud. "We really love the cabin, we felt at home there, home away from home. We love the rustic feeling of the cabin. It was set up to meet our needs, love the TV upstairs with a VCR build into it and we watch movies up there. "WOW. This place was INCREDIBLE! So much beauty, history, and love in this place! Cody was an outstanding and hospitable host. Our family shared many laughs, meals, and memories. The beds were comfortable, there were extra cots for the kids (or for sleeping under the stars), plenty of blankets for chilly nights, and beautiful views from every angle. "We loved our stay here! It was about as close to Yellowstone East Entrance as you can get while still having access to a gas station. It's also not far from Cody, WY, which has a grocery store and restaurants. Getting upstairs can be difficult if you have mobility issues/young kids and don't want to use the outside stairs, but my kids (8 and 11) loved using the ladder. There is no air conditioning, but we just left the windows open and the house really cooled down by the time we went to bed...
