"We adored our week here! The home is beautiful and was perfect for our family vacation. The view from the back windows is picture worthy. Our kids loved how close we were to the beach, and they could play in the sand while we drank our morning coffee from the balcony. The home was very clean, and every detail is so thoughtful! The kitchen is well stocked, and the furniture is comfort. The owners are so kind and easy to communicate with! We will definitely book here again! "

"Check in was very simple. The kitchen was well-appointed with cookware for most every need."

"This was our second stay at Rest Area West, and it was just as perfect as the first. The property is well suited to groups, and it includes extra touches such as multiple refrigerators and dishwashers, and the pool is always a welcome way to end a great day at the beach (which is mere steps away!). We will definitely be back."

The location was great - close to the west end beach and the little pond and bay access were a great little private getaway and kids could run to and from the house as needed. beautiful views from both front and back porches and plenty of seating to just sit and enjoy the sunrise and sunsets. Completely enjoyed our time and can’t wait to go back!"

"Very nice place to stay. Location and views were excellent. Very short path to the beach. House was clean and spacious, well maintained and stocked. Beds were comfy. Lots of beach toys/equipment, too. We enjoyed the kayak and boogie boards. Screened porch a great place to hang out. Cargo lift is such a plus when hauling supplies in and out. (We ordered groceries to be delivered from Greer’s Fowl River.) Host very responsive.There were 18 of us, 8 adults, 10 children ages 2-8 and this place was...

"Great bay location. We now prefer the bayside of the island. Quiet and peaceful beach right in front the house. Get the golf cart, so fun to drive all over the island in it. Pool is such a great option when waves are rough or you are tired of the sand. Kids loved hitting the beach in the am and the pool in the afternoon. "

"House was great and just what we needed. We had 8 people and more than enough room with 2 beds we didn’t even use. You’re able to walk straight to the water from the house. We’re all in decent shape and had no issue but I could see some would maybe need to drive a short, less than 1/2 mile, to the beach access in Morgantown. "

"Another excellent stay at Tidal Wave! Every type of water our group could want, easily accessible—pool, lagoon, bay beach, gulf beach. Several spacious rooms to retreat to, as well as places to gather. The giant sectional is the stuff of legends. The addition of a second fridge this year made keeping our forever hungry and thirsty kids happy a breeze. Looking forward to our next visit!"
