"I've stayed at the Trout a number of times, it is a pretty, well maintained hotel with lots of character and ideally placed to explore Cockermouth, the Western Lakes and the national park. The food is good and the staff are professional and very friendly."

"Well positioned in Cockermouth. Stairs upto bed rooms may be challenging for some guests. Easy parking, well stocked bar, pleasant communal rooms and garden. Best part of this hotel by far is the very welcoming friendly staff and superb breakfast."

"Excellent communication from staff and really helpful and friendly"

"This was the best B&B by far I have ever stayed in. The room was spotless and a very comfy bed. Darryl is a trained Chef and the meals he serves are amazing."
