this newly constructed home, was built and designed specifically to take advantage of the 30 miles of pacific ocean views, with the emerald jungle below. Every room in the house has a view of the ocean. Modern tropical open air designed interior, solid wood floors, counter and cabinets. A/C in master bedroom, and hot water throughout. Truly a unique and romantic vacation spot. Very private, no Neighbors, a wonderful place to sit back, relax and unwind in the privacy of your own home. NON-SMOKING PROPERTY

April was awesome! The home was beautiful. With the pool, kitchen and scenery, we never wanted to leave! I’d come back to stay with April again anytime. Convenient to beach and restaurants, but quiet, private and hidden away when you wanted.

Emerald Adobe was exactly what we were looking for. The 180 ocean views and sunsets are absolutely stunning, and the private pool makes it the perfect place to relax and take in the scenery. It truly feels like luxury glamping, with a comfortable air-conditioned bedroom—though we often preferred falling asleep to the sound of the ocean.A four-wheel drive is a must, and the small 4WD we rented worked perfectly. Next time we might fly into Cobano and rent an ATV, and definitely pack light.April was incredibly helpful with local tips and even guided us to a spot where we saw scarlet macaws in the wild, which was unforgettable. A beautiful, private getaway with breathtaking views.

We loved our Stay here!! The views cannot be beat. Sleeping with just the patio screen door open each night and listening to the waves was amazing! The place is a mix between rustic and quaint. The outdoor kitchen was great for cooking and it felt like we lived in the treetops. It was very private and allowed for clothing optional enjoyment alot of the time. Only saw monkeys two of the days but you heard them everyday. We spent 8 days here and will be back again! Dont miss your chance to stay. It is a very outdoor environment living so if keeping bugs out of your room is your top priority then i would stay in a larger hotel. You live with nature here and it is wonderful!!

April is the most helpful host ever! Don’t hesitate to ask her anything!! If you are looking for a remote getaway and time to unplug and unwind then this is your place. There is AC in the bedroom but we never turned it on bc sleeping to waves, rain and jungle sounds was so much better. The kitchen and bathroom are inside-ish. Not completely closed off which is just perfect when you love the outdoors! Rent a quad for sure. No need for a car. April arranged quad rental, massages and transport from airport to the house! Hope to be back some day!

Amazing Place to Stay

It was great waking up to the beautiful ocean view, seeing the amazing sunsets over the ocean, and listening to the waves crashing on the beach at night. The gated property was clean and felt very safe. It was also very private. The pool and patio were also great places to relax and take in the views. The host was very attentive.The driveway is a bit challenging to navigate, but typical for the location. There are also quite a few steps from the parking area to the home, but well worth it for the view. If you are looking for a place with privacy and a great view to relax, check this place out!

Absolute magic - Cannot wait to come back

Our stay at the Emerald Abode was truly unforgettable — pure magic from start to finish. My husband and I came to celebrate our 10-year anniversary, and we couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place.The house itself is a dream. It does take a little adjustment to the outdoor kitchen and semi-outdoor bathroom, but once you settle in, it feels like paradise. Waking up to the 180-degree ocean view every morning was breathtaking — pictures can’t do it justice. The privacy and view alone make it top notch.What made our stay even more special was April, the owner. She is incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the area. She had a bottle of rosé, fresh fruit, bread, and eggs waiting for us, which was such a thoughtful touch after our late arrival. Her hospitality made us feel instantly at home and very safe. Santa Teresa is a beautiful, laid-back town filled with lovely people and easy access to beaches, snorkeling, and wildlife preserves — we did a ton in the area but honestly, it was hard to tear ourselves away from the serenity of the Abode.We are already dreaming of coming back. It’s one of those places you almost don’t want to share so it can stay a hidden gem — but it deserves every bit of praise. Thank you, April, for making our 10-year anniversary so magical!

3 days in paradise

Clean, amazing view. Great host who had a welcoming present of cold beer and fresh fruit waiting in the fridge. Just be advised that the road up to the house is quite steep and best to have an ATV or car with 4x4 mode. The view is worth it!

Emerald Abode is awesome. Fantastic location...so close to world-class beaches, yet secluded up on the hill for peace, quiet and wonderful views. The pool was amazing. April was a lovely host. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

I booked this beautiful property. Check in was very smooth and the property immaculate. Unfortunately, my friend had a family emergency and we could not stay the evening but I would highly recommend. The view is amazing and you cant find a vetter spot for sunsets in Santa Teresa

Santa Teresa is a magical place with miles of unspoiled beaches, brimming with an off-the-grid, no-frills vibe, and teeming with surfers, yoga-seekers, and a myriad of restaurant choices. Nestled in the trees just up the hill from the main roadway, Emerald Abode ices the Playa Santa Teresa cake as an oasis of privacy, simplicity and one-ness with the area. With the ever-present sound of the ocean waves, and the open-air layout of the patio, lounge area and pool, it provides stunning views and amazing sunsets creating a difficult choice between beach and quiet seclusion. April is an exceptional host, thoughtfully providing a stocked kitchen, beach gear, and bathroom amenities, which enables you to live your vacation. She also goes above and beyond providing expert recommendations for activities, dining options, and even facilitating transportation options (quads/ATVs are recommended) and taxi from the nearby airport. 1000%.

Home away from home

Perched on the hill above Santa Teresa, the Emerald Abode became our home away from home. Just off the main road, the leg-in driveway to the home is just steps from the beach access pathway. The infinity pool is so nice we found it difficult to choose to leave for the hustle and bustle of town. If you can drag yourself away from the Emerald Abode, try Shambala on the beach. They have excellent food and superb cocktails (try the Mezcal Tere). Finally, get to know April. She’s a sweetheart.

Everything just as shown/described on the advertisement and by other reviewers. April has ensured there is everything you could possibly need from beach towels and snorkel gear to the essential foods for when you arrive. She has her own property on the grounds but the house is totally private and secure. The pool is perfect for cooling off after a day’s trekking or being in the beach. The house allows for views of the sea from every room. Sunsets every night! I will miss that. We really enjoyed our evening swims gazing up at the stars after being out all day. House and location are perfect and April is the perfect host. The beach is a 10 minute walk away or 5 minute drive. You will need a 4 wheel drive not only for the Emerald Abode but for Santa Teresa. Highly recommend you choose to stay here if coming to the area. We plan to come back and stay longer next time and I wouldn’t choose anywhere other than Emerald Abode to stay. out all day.

A beautiful piece of hillside heaven

Amazing! Highest house on the hill as far as we could tell :). Outdoor shower and kitchen were so nice in weather, a perfect place to relax and soak in the beach. Would give 6 stars if I could!
