"We really enjoyed our stay. Be sure to follow the written instructions. We originally put the address provided into google maps and it took us to a different location. After we backtracked and followed the written directions, we arrived! The driveway was washed out in spots, which made traversing in our car a bit difficult. We took it slow and steady and made it. "My son was at S bar F scout camp and instead of driving back to St. Louis we stayed at this gem. Quiet and cozy. Our dogs loved it too. Close to St. Francis River/Silver Mines Rec area. "

"My family of 14 people needed a place for all of us to stay for the holidays. The twin turrets was a great fit for what we needed. Everyone had their own bed, the bathrooms took a little time to get showers scheduled, since there are only 2 showers, but it worked out. The home was fun to explore inside and out. We went for some walks on the trails, enjoyed watching the ducks and geese, or just looking out at the lake. So peaceful! "

"This is a wonderful place to get away from it all and just enjoy nature and the company of the people you are traveling with. Bird watchers will especially love the barn willows, red headed woodpeckers, blue grosbeak, Bobwhite, and more. Stores and the historic downtown of Saint Genevieve are just a short drive away. Along with many wineries."

"We had a family wedding at Pebble Creek Farm, just 6 miles away from The Roost. Ten of us including aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews had plenty of room at the house to get ready for the wedding, and to gather for snacks and games in the kitchen afterwards. Everything was really clean and comfortable. We would love to come back here and stay for a winery weekend! "

"We used this cabin as a central location for a week of exploring the local state parks. It was a great cabin with all the necessary amenities the beds are incredibly comfortable and we were able to comfortably fit our group of four. Do note that it can feel a bit crowded especially if you have a lot of bags. However we were more than happy staying here!"

"My 2 daughters, ages 14 and 11, and I had a wonderful stay on the property. The cabin was perfect for the 3 of us, nice and clean with comfortable beds. The A/C worked great on those hot days and nights. The property is very nice with some very pleasant trails. There were 2 other cabins occupied during our stay and we didn't hear a peep from their tenants nor any road noise. It is very peaceful there. Linda was very communicative and nice and I highly recommend staying there."

"I will only stay at this house when we come to this area. The host is amazing. The property is well taken care of and host is available for any questions or concerns. All you need when you come is your suitcase. Literally everything you need is provided at no extra fee. We have stayed twice there and as I said before, we will only stay at this property when we are in this area!!!!!"

"It was a nice place to stay for a few days while having basketball camp at MAC. Enjoyed the game room in the basement and the fireplace was neat. Beds were a little firm for our liking but we made due. Conveniently located near town for shopping and places to eat but not to close to hear the constant traffic. We enjoyed sitting out on the back porch enjoying the weather. "

"What a great cabin to come back to each afternoon after fun-filled days at Elephant Rocks, Johnson Shut-Ins, Shepherd Mountain and Taum Sauk - all within a 35 minute drive. Clean, comfortable, and unexpectedly spacious for our family of four and four-legged friends. But if you don't find it big enough, just step outside to some wonderfully big views on the deck or at the fire pit. We've stayed in quite a few rentals, and this one was definitely at the top of the list. "

"My daughter and I had such a great time here. It was super clean and cozy! We loved the location, too, as it was close to numerous hiking trails and a few local restaurants, yet far enough away to feel secluded for that mountain feel. We would definitely book here again!"

"Our family (with 2 kids 9 & 11) had a great stay in Turtle Rock. The pool was great and stocked with pool floats. The cabin was clean and well-appointed with lots of room for our family (murphy bed was comfortable) and a charcoal grill on the patio. Also nice having a washer/dryer in the unit. It was close to town for quick access to groceries, coffee, and restaurants. Not far from Johnson's Shut-Ins, Elephant Rocks, Black River float trips, and an old time candy shop/soda fountain in...

"Wanted to do something special for a little get away with my granddaughter...And wow she was so surprised and so excited there was trails we did some fishing the property supplied the fishing rods we sat around the campfire roasted marshmallows, played records on the vintage player so cool and the coolest was our shower it was awesome it is an outside shower with a big rain shower head cute as come be Everything was supplied from shampoo to body wash. We had an awesome welcome packet cookies...
