    The Space:

    Situated on a private 1.68-acre lot, this year-round mountain retreat offers a peaceful escape surrounded by forest and mountain views. The 2,107-square-foot home features an open layout, beautiful wood accents, and plenty of space to relax and gather. Spend leisurely afternoons on the large furnished deck, where the surrounding forest provides beautiful views and an added sense of privacy.



    Enjoy a convenient location just minutes from I-40 and Champion Drive in Canton, with paved access and a scenic drive along the winding mountain roads leading to the home. Explore nearby Canton and Chestnut Mountain Nature Park, known for its hiking and mountain biking trails, or head to Lake Junaluska for golf, walking trails, fishing, and water activities. Downtown Waynesville is less than 15 miles away, while Asheville is about 20 miles away, putting restaurants, shopping, outdoor adventures, and local attractions within easy reach. For a scenic day trip, explore the Blue Ridge Parkway or nearby Pisgah National Forest.



    Stretch out on the sectional in the light-filled great room and watch a movie on the smart TV. Make plans for the day at the desk, or settle into one of the armchairs with a good book. The well-equipped kitchen features modern cookware and ample counter space, making it easy to prepare everything from quick breakfasts to hearty mountain meals.



    One of the bedrooms is located in a loft open to the great room below, creating a unique and airy sleeping space.



    The home features newly installed fiber-optic high-speed internet, along with a washer/dryer.



    THINGS TO KNOW



  • No large trucks, work vehicles, or trailers are allowed at this home.
  • A wood furnace previously heated the home, and a slight smoky smell may linger.
  • The loft receives natural morning light.
  • The fireplace is not operational.
  • This three-level home is accessed via three steps.
  • Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.
  • Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
  • All guests must abide by our Good Neighbor Policy and shall not engage in illegal activity.
  • Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.
  • No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
  • All properties come with a starter kit to assist you on your first day before having to go out and purchase additional items. This includes a dish sponge, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and laundry detergent. Bathrooms will have two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap.

Amazing property

Great Location/Mountain Hideaway

Peaceful Mountain Getaway

Quiet and relaxing stay for our entire family! Similar to other reviews, the driveway is an experience in navigation (not for the “faint at heart”)!

Beautiful mountain house

Our family enjoyed our stay at this beautifully decorated mountain home. The Mountain View although slightly blocked by trees was gorgeous. Would highly recommend.

Great weekend escape

We found the property to be exactly as pictured and perfect for our group. Everyone had a wonderful time. We enjoyed hiking nearby and kayaking in Asheville. Everything about checkin in and out was a breeze. Thank you!

Fabulous house!

The peaceful deck was our favorite hangout, beautifully decorated, comfortable and felt like we were in a treehouse. The whole house was extremely clean with comfortable furniture, nice linens, plenty of towels and kitchen ware. Vacasa was attentive and great customer service. Also, very short drive to an Ingles supermarket. Thank you for the stay in this lovely home!

Great weekend volunteering in NC MOUNTAINS

Had a wonderful weekend staying at this house in Clyde. We were excited to actually be able to check in since the hurricane destroyed so many homes near there. This home is very nice and the beds are so comfortable. Lots of space and beautiful views. So honored to be able to volunteer at the International Sports Complex in Canton and hand out food and provisions to the great people who live here. The people who live in this area are so strong and resourceful. Loved meeting so many ❤️😊

Pre-Thanksgiving Get Away

Great location away from the Asheville area, but close enough to easily enjoy Biltmore, the Asheville breweries and downtown area. In the other direction is Waynesville, NC. Another unique jem in the mtns of NC. First time up the "drive" from the main road is a bit daunting, but you get used to it. Great open space, Bedrooms tucked out of the way. Incredible views of the upper porch. Great sized kitchen and had everything we needed.

Dog Friendly?

Although this home was very nice, it was a little difficult to navigate with the dogs. If we had realized the bedrooms were down a flight of uncarpeted stairs and the main exit was upstairs, we probably would not have stayed here. It’s a beautiful home but I wouldn’t recommend for dogs or small children.

Best of both worlds

We wanted to experience the country setting but be close enough to Ashville so can take advantage of the great shops and restaurants. Plenty of outdoor activities within an hour or less of where we stayed. Which included kayaking, hiking and zip lining. Was able to experience the Blue Ridge Parkway on the way to Mt Mitchel as well. Ziplining could have been better. Next time, I would find one which is tree based instead of based on manmade towers. But was okay. Overall, it was a very pleasant week.

Relaxing abode

This home provided a much-needed respite during a busy wedding weekend. Nestled up in the trees, it was such a treat to just sit on the expansive porch and listen to the birds. The home was very clean and comfortable and supplied every amenity a hotel does. The kitchen was loaded with pots, pans, knives, etc. and we were able to cook full meals no problem. The only word of warning is access to the place. The road is pretty steep. 2-wheel drive can get up it no problem in the warm months but I would be terrified to do it in slick, snowy conditions. GREAT location though! Couldn't recommend it enough!

Beautiful home with a great view

My only "complaint" is that the driveway is very narrow, and although, yes, there was plenty of room for 3-4 cars to fit, actually maneuvering and turning around is mildly anxiety-inducing considering the house is basically in the middle of a mountain. That aside, the house is beautifully decorated. The check-in/out process was pretty seamless. I received a text when the house was ready, and there is a binder with everything you need to know on the kitchen counter. The views from the loft bedroom and upstairs deck are stunning, especially first thing in the morning. If I ever go back to Asheville, I would definitely try to book this house again. My sisters and I had a great and relaxing time. Thanks for having us!

Two night stay

We were there for two nights, only there to sleep, we were attending a family event. The house was nice & clean. We could not get the ac to work, but the 2nd evening it rained, we opened windows and it cooled down enough to be comfortable. We had 4 small children, a 3 & 5 year old slept on the floor in the room w/mom that is where they wanted, the 2 year old slept in bed with mom, an infant in a portable crib.The last minute on the last night we had a couple that needed a place to sleep, we had a king size bed that was not being used, I told them they could sleep there - it was almost midnight. Within minutes after they walked in I received a text and later a VM, that said we exceeded the number of people & they had to leave or we would all have to evacuate ?? I could not reach a live person to talk to - this was disturbing - we would have gladly paid extra but to say we would be evacuated & did not have an option to discuss the matter was disturbing. it was midnight but we found a place for them. We were hardly there, we just slept there.If we were monitored for the number of people in the house surely it could also be noted that a party was not being conducted on the property. It could have been handled differently - with being told we all had to evacuate we didn't know if police were on their way and we would all soon be loading up in the middle of the night to drive home?? Communication with a live person would have been nice. Overall a nice stay, we wouldrecommend

Christmas in the Mountains

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this beautiful home for Christmas and New Year. Its location is very private, with a very safe feeling. The property is located in a private community off of Crabtree Mountain Road which is an untouched throwback to Farming days! The outside area for children is priceless. Our children safely roamed around and explored the woods and treehouse. The decor in the home is modern and of a high quality. The beds are INCREDIBLY comfortable. The internet is GREAT for such a secluded area (Thank you Skyrunner!) and easily coped with our girls iPads, screaming of Netflix and homeworking! Our only comment for improvement would be that the gravel in the lower driveway is too small and I had to use 4x4 a couple of times to get us out of trouble. It needs to be larger gravel to get traction. Also the showers are not powered and in an expensive vacation home we would prefer more modern shower setups. Overall we loved it and created some wonderful memories.

Christmas in the Mountains

We rented this beautiful home for Christmas and New Year. Its location is very private, with a very safe feeling. The property is located in a private community off of Crabtree Mountain Road which is an untouched throwback to Farming days! The outside area for children is priceless. Our children safely roamed around and explored the woods and treehouse. The decor in the home is modern and of a high quality. The beds are INCREDIBLY comfortable. The internet is GREAT for such a secluded area (Thank you Skyrunner!) and easily coped with our girls iPads, screaming of Netflix and homeworking! Our only comment for improvement would be that the gravel in the lower driveway is too small and I had to use 4x4 a couple of times to get us out of trouble. It needs to be larger gravel to get traction. Also the showers are not powered and in an expensive vacation home we would prefer more modern shower setups.
