House for 8 people with a view of the sea in Doëlan

In this 120 m² Breton house in Doëlan, the fishing port and the sea are everywhere: you can see the port and the cove from the terrace, the living room, the dining room and even the kitchen 🌊.

On the night side, 4 bedrooms accommodate up to 8 people in complete tranquillity: one bedroom with a large double bed (160×200) and three bedrooms with two single beds each (90×200) perfect for families and groups of friends. Linen is provided, all you have to do is put down your suitcases. Two bathrooms (shower, bath, double sink, heated towel rail) and two separate toilets avoid queues in the morning.

The centrepiece is the large south-facing terrace facing the sea: teak table for meals in the sun, garden furniture for aperitifs, barbecue for evening barbecues and a panorama of the ocean that changes every hour of the day. The enclosed and flowered garden (hydrangeas from Brittany 🌸) completes this generous outdoor space. The fully equipped kitchen (large American fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, freezer, kettle) allows you to cook for the whole tribe, again with the sea as a backdrop.

The district
Doëlan is one of the most authentic fishing ports in South Finistère: a narrow and deep estuary guarded by two lighthouses (one green, one red), colourful rowboats and the direct sale of fish at the quay (shrimps, spider crabs, sardines, sea bass, mackerel depending on the season). This port that inspired so many painters has kept its Breton village soul, both alive and preserved. The calm of the fishermen's cul-de-sac, just above the port, immerses you in this unique maritime atmosphere.

How to get there?
By car, join the N165 expressway (Nantes–Quimper–Lorient axis), exit Quimperlé, then about fifteen minutes to Doëlan; parking on site.
By train, the nearest train station is Quimperlé (~10 km away, TGV/TER line Quimper–Lorient–Rennes–Paris), with a bus connection (line TBK 5) or taxi to Doëlan.
Lorient-South Brittany airport is about 30 minutes away.

What to do around?
Everything is experienced outside here 🥾. The GR34 coastal path passes at the foot of the house and connects Doëlan to Le Pouldu between wild coves and spectacular viewpoints.
A few minutes away, the beaches of Le Pouldu: Kérou, Bellangenêt (supervised) and Les Grands Sables invite you to swim, surf, paddle and kayak. Don't miss the walk around the port of Doëlan, the Abbey of Saint-Maurice on the banks of the Laïta, the House-Museum of Pouldu in the footsteps of Gauguin, not to mention the Breton markets, creperies and seafood tables. An ideal destination to combine idleness, nature and heritage.
