"My family stayed here in 2 rooms over the course of a 4 day weekend stay. This Country Inn and Suites was excellent! The place was clean, well kept, had a great breakfast spread and had all the working amenities as described. The location is just 15 mins outside of Downtown Des Moines and works well for traveling around the area."

After check-in we found that our room was not cleaned. We specifically requested a room on the backside of the hotel to avoid Interstate traffic noise. The request was not communicated. "We were charged a parking fee. There was nothing on our confirmation receipt about the fee. After we checked in the front desk person handed us a parking flyer to place in our window and told us it would be $7.00 to use the parking lot. I would expect a parking fee for a full service hotel in a downtown setting, but this was a convenience motel in a suburb of a small city in Iowa. Hidden fee...inexcusable"

"So the hotel room was great.. one of the elevators were broken and with this property being as big as it is it needs at least 3 or 4 to keep the flow going. I was on the 7th floor alone and it was dreadful waiting. Normally I would just take the stairs in that situation but of you have luggage and small children it can be a bit tricky. Also there were A LOT of people there due to baseball tournaments so only having 1 functional elevator was ridiculous. Loved that room though!"

"I was greeted with a smile from the Desk Clerk, completely apprised of all the amenities and urged to make use of them. My room was delightfully clean and cooled, beginning with the sitting room and kitchenette, separate room for sleeping, and yet another room for shower and toilet. Needless to say, my first luxury was dropping my luggage in the waiting rack and climbing in to the hot shower which had shampoo/conditioner/body cleanser readily available, a very welcome option following the past...
