That rehab nextdoor is dragging out for what seems like forever! I guess the for-sale sign is not an indication that they are done??? There are usually pretty quiet and should complete the project soon. Thank you again, so much! Hosting you was a pleasure.

It's unfortunate that you felt that way. The neighborhood is being revitalized... Most streets and the main street(s) are closer to being completed. Our street is one of the last to begin it's renaissance, which was further delayed due to the pandemic. Most of the neighbors are long-time homeowners, investors with upcoming and/or renovations in progress. Others are short-term rentals for nurses, hospital and college staff. The neighborhood is older/classic, but has always been safe. The neighbors are awesome and the community is great vibes. Please visit the area, if you come back this way!

Thank you for being great guests and for pointing out all that is unique about the neighborhood and space. The neighborhood is in the final stages of revitalization (delayed by the pandemic), it is filled with very long-time homeowners and new ones. It is pleasant, diverse, and is well on its way back to to being the cherished, vibrant Larchmere Blvd Neighborhood.

When Kassidie "drove" by and sent me a message about not feeling safe, I sent her several messages and attempted to respond via phone call. I tried to convince her to give the property a chance, stay si she could experience the neighborhood during waking hours. There is nothing unsafe about the neighborhood. In fact, it is one of the most sought after on Clevelands' Eastside. I expressed to Kassidie that the Larchmere area is being "revitalized"... and it is being revitalized with the major quickness. I understand that 1130pm can be a bit frightening in an unfamiliar place. I also sent her a link to the other platform where my properties are listed, so she could see the many awesome reviews from great, upstanding guests... both short and long stays. We have never had a complaint about safety. The authorities prioritize this area and any other area in america that is being revitalized, with business openings, new construction and outsiders have invested heavily. I sent my nephew and wife out immediately as I thought something strange must be going on around the place. However, it was peaceful as usual and Kassidie never responded to my attempts to make things right for her group.

I'm disheartened that Benards' experience was less than 2 star. I'm relatively new to this platform, so this is unfortunate. My places are rated excellent on other platforms for which we have been listed longer and are Superhost. I wish I could say that I'm surprised by Benards" review; however, .He certainly stood out among guests as he was rude, somewhat disrespectful and communicated via cell phone text message. Late one evening, he checked the smoked detectors and demanded I replace one, before his bed time. I advised that there were extras in the supply closet, outside the kitchen door. The other tenants/guests heard him rambling aggressively, but he insisted there were none. I ordered one, over-paid and had it delivered asap. The 3 spare smoke detectors were and are in the closet as I advised. The few interactions I had with Bernard were unsettling. Luckily, I dealt/spoke with his sister mostly. She took frequent walks, so I saw her and spoke with her often as I worked in the yards. I cant think of a guest that I would consider impossible to host. Benard came close. As particular and demanding as he was and being the owner of a big pickup truck with a big tool box... He allowed the kitchen sink drain pipe to leak for days, until water ran down to the apartment beneath, creating damage to new walls and ceiling. I text him urgently with no response, so I called to see if theyd noticed a leak. His response, "the kitchen rug has been wet off and on". One turn of the ring on the PVC pipe underneath the sink and all has been well ever since. The neighbors were off-put...Bernie chose to sit topless on the down tenants' porch/banisters. Tphe 2nd floor unit has it's own porch; I won't address every house rule disregarded, but Bernard joined his sister at our place after a medical procedure. I must mention the blood stained sheets, pillow cases and pillows. Housekeeping gave me an earful...dreadful. I was going to leave this in the past and not leave a review, since the experience was out of the ordinary. Plus. I figured that Benard wouldn't bother to. Lastly, I was visiting Cleveland to be hands on with my properties... repairs and improvements, which I do periodically. The unit below where Benard stayed is a rented unit. My 2 yorkies were in the basement and bark when the front door camera alerts sound via my cellphone/when people enter and exit (mostly) as they know the sound from home.

We strive to provide amenities and an environment that make our guests feel comfy and home-like. Also, we make upgrades and improvements regularly, to ensure that return-guests and future guests will experience the best stay possible. This spring we are adding back yard amenities ... BBQ grill, fire pit table, etc Katie and hubby were wonderful guests and we would love to host them again!
