"First time visiting the lake district and it didnt disappoint. The area of the lodge was perfect to explore and visit different places nearby. The lodge itself was perfect , and had everything needed for a very comfortable stay. Will definitely like to stay again and will recommend to all friends and family this lodge."

"What a lovely place in a beautiful location, west side of the Lake District. All the home comforts you could need including reclining sofa and a washing machine! "We stayed at the property for 3 night with two Labradors. The hosts were fantastic from booking through to departure. We informed the hosts that we would be arriving very late, they assisted us by putting the heating and lights on for our arrival. They also had cakes, biscuits etc all handmade ready for our arrival. The cottage is located in a lovely quiet village. We will definitely be returning next year. Keep up the great work"

"Despite the rain we had a fantastic time in this excellent property. Well equipped and maintained professionally. My wife has limited mobility and was able to move around the property using sticks and a walker with no issues. The large bathroom has a walk-in shower which she could easily use with a shower seat as she was able to walk right up with the walker. "The hotel was absolutely beautiful. From the moment you pull into the car park, the grandeur and character are so apparent. The welcome at reception was friendly and efficient. What we loved though was it wasn't "stuffy and formal". The room itself was very clean, light and modern and had the best views over the gardens and fells. The bed was super comfy with good quality furnishings. Would definitely go back. "
