Lovely weekend getaway

We had a lovely stay at the Creemore Inn last weekend! We have stayed a few times in the past and were shocked to see the bad reviews that had been left here. We were very happy to see that the place was just as lovely as the last visit. Our room was clean and comfortable and the pool was lovely. Angela got in touch with us the day of our stay and was very helpful - she even provided gluten free bread upon request! Thanks for the great stay!

Fantastic Quiet getaway

Very clean , quiet , great location if you want to destress. Angela the innkeeper was very attentive and professional. Greeted us at the door right away, told us about the area and gave us privacy during our time there . Continental breakfast included . Great restaurants in area . Can’t wait to book again in the fall .

Very quaint and charming. We were lucky to have the owner, Allison, at the Inn during our stay. She greeted us warmly and offered lots of information about a local concert we were attending. A generous offering of breakfast items was laid out in the morning. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Despite having a reservation, we were not expected. Cash was demanded; Credit Cards not accepted. Room smelled like smoke; room was not particularly clean; carpet was grubby. "Breakfast" was two muffins, one banana, a few strawberries left out the night before. Two yoghurt and some "Orange Juice" in a very noisy refrigerator. Poor windows let all the street noise in. The property was far too expensive at $200 dollars; far too much for what was offered.

We arrived at check-in time to a locked door with no answer; after wandering around the side of the house to try to find an entrance, we were let in by a staff member who did not know we were arriving. We had booked months in advance, however we were informed that the owner was “on an airplane” somewhere and did not let staff know to expect a guest. The staff member looked flustered and told us we could have a “relatively clean” room. We booked a queen bed and were given a twin bed. Note to others, this is NOT a bed and breakfast. Continental breakfast is not included, contrary to the description on Expedia. I specified that I cannot have gluten-2 muffins were left outside the room. Will not return.

This inn has seen better times:that’s when the pictures were taken. It is dirty and decrepit now,unfortunately. The hostess made some effort to be accessible,to give us earlier access and to leave some breakfast. Unfortunately the duvet had no cover and was dirty,the sheets were probably clean but rumpled,there were dead flies on the sills and the carpet was dirty. There was no access to the rest of the house, or the pool but that was not important. The musty,stained carpet on the stairs and broken steps and path were. We wish better luck to the owner,who is now selling the house but feel quite upset to be so wilfully and expensively misled. Don’t go there but the town if Creemore is delightful.

False pretences

A bed and breakfast where the breakfast doesn’t show up. Only a 1/2 roll of toilet paper provided, no kleenex, no shower soap and no snow shoveling in the parking area. What a joke! And we were charged $197.

Rented under false pretences.

This B&B provided a bed but no breakfast, 1/2 roll of toilet paper, no Kleenex or shower soap. The parking area was not shoveled. The “urgent contact” did not respond to our text about the missing breakfast. Terrible experience for the low low price of $197.

Charming B&B on the Main Street.

Easy entrance. Charming clean room. 40 minutes from Collingwood. Comfy beds. However no food was left for breakfast.

Room comfortable but no amenities

Could not lock door to room, no soap for shower, no info regarding wifi password, television operation (Roku), three tissues in container, no one on sight to deal with problems - house for sale - continental breakfast not great -very unsatisfactory for fee charged.

Not worth it

We checked ourselves in at around 3:30pm to find that there was no room key in sight as noted in their instructions. I messaged the host and till today, am waiting to hear back from them. It wasn’t until 9pm that night that the guest across the hall knocked on our door asking if we needed our room key. Why would they have our key? That was puzzling to us, and really frustrating that we couldn’t leave our belongings in the room all day since we had no key to lock up. The lack of response from the host is unacceptable. Even when I emailed them (twice) a week ahead to ask a question, they never got back to me. Terrible customer service. The room was clean and pleasant, except for the flies buzzing around between the window and shutter and all the dead ones along the window pane and on the carpet. It was an interesting night of fly swatting. The breakfast is a joke. Someone drops off store bought croissants and muffins outside your room in the morning. No WiFi code was in sight so the “free WiFi” option is useless. I feel there is so much potential for this place as it’s well situated and is a nice property. Being a self serve hotel (not a B&B in my opinion), they could at least put some more effort into making it a smooth and comfortable experience. The property is for sale and I think they just dont care anymore. What a waste of my $200.

Great location, nice room, some issues.

While the room was nice and the location was great, the staff was completely unresponsive and impossible to get a hold of . I texted her with a question to the "urgent" line and simply NEVER got a response. That said, I did get a curt email prior to my stay allowing me to check in early. Some small oversights in the room as well. No extra blankets, which made for a pretty cold sleep. "Breakfast" is a bit generous as there were two croissants and some minimuffins. Great location though, easy walk to everything in Creemore. I would probably stay here again, but would bring an extra blanket and would not expect any support or assistance.

Couldn't be better located to the Town of Creemore, excellent driving distance to Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and hiking trails. Great service for an inn without a 24/7 staff.

Not as good as it used to be

We checked in to find that the pool was completely unusable. There was a note about the pool pump being broken and that it would be fixed after the weekend - we checked in on a Tuesday. I booked this room on Sunday as a surprise getaway for my husband and I's anniversary. We've stayed here several times in the past and have always enjoyed our time. We were not happy that there was no update about the pool beforehand, only to arrive and find the note . Especially as we had only rented the room two days ago. The whole reason we like to book this property is because of the pool. It feels like a waste of money for us to have rented this room with no pool (also no fridge in the room as there have been in past years and a huge piece of wood - maybe a headboard? on one side of the wall) and no information relayed to us. If we had been told ahead of time, we would have cancelled the reservation and booked for a different day once the pool was repaired. We talked to another guest who had checked in a few days earlier, hoping to use the pool for therapeutic reasons. She had recently had a hip replacement and was told by her doctor to swim every day. As disappointing as it was for us, I can't imagine how she felt! The housekeepers were very nice but they didn't have much information to give us. We emailed the owners and got no response - going on two weeks now. We also emailed Expedia and didn't hear back. Very disappointing lack of communication as we really do love this place.

Great location, amenities, and decor.

Beautiful spot. Very hands off Inn staff. We didn't see/speak to any staff and it's great if you prefer that hands-off approach. We typically like to interact with locals/staff so we felt like our overall experience was lacking. Great amenities. Comfortable bed.

This was our second stay at this inn. We love this cute little quaint town and the inn is quite well kept and in a perfect location on the main street. We stayed on the ground floor in the back room this time and were not as happy as we had been with our first stay. There were no blinds on the windows (they seemed to have been removed), which were only covered with very light see through curtains that did not feel private. The room was cool even with a space heater. The quality of the room was only average compared to the previous room that we stayed. Overall we would stay again, however were disappointed in the room.

Lovely getaway destination in Victorian era home

Angela was amazing. Incredible host with many ideas on local "things to do." The room was super clean and very spacious. Lovely location walking distance to all of the local Creemore area activities. Had a lovely 5 star dinner nearby at Chez Michel. It's more suited to the more "serve yourself" traveller, but we are like that so it suited us perfectly.

Not a bed and breakfast

This is more of a hostel set up rather then a bed a breakfast. There is no staff on site, you simply let yourself in and then there is a room key in the door. There is no one to greet you or let you know about the town...The "breakfast" is a bit of fruit put beside the door. Definitely not a typical bed and breakfast and priced much more expensive then I would expect for a shared accommodation for 1 night. Otherwise the room was nice but noisy- doors creeped loudly, you could hear every step guests too.

Girls getaway

Love this bed and breakfast! Have stayed a couple times and it's been excellent! Angela was lovely and made sure that everything we needed was right there l. The pool is awesome in the summer and in the fall it's just such a beautiful place to be .

Felt at home

We spent a remarkably comfortable night at the Creemore House Inn. The room was extraordinarily clean, fresh and comfortable. Spacious, light room with large windows and white wood shades for privacy, authentic wood furniture, large mirrors, nice hardwood floor, private, very clean newly renovated bathroom with generous shower area, large mirrors, firm mattress, white 100% cotton bedding and linen table cloth, white thick terrycloth towels, juice, water and milk in the fridge, coffee machine, fresh coffee, cream and white porcelain coffee cups in our room for the morning, fresh pastry, fruit and milk for breakfast; all this made our stay absolutely enjoyable. We could not have asked for anything better. Checking in and checking out was extremely easy. All we had to do was come, relax and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. We will definitely stay in Creemore House Inn on our next trip up north. Great thanks to our hosts.
