Private cottage with it's own fishing & pet friendly!

Rare property offering riverside access and private fishing on the river Charente. Beautifully secluded yet within walking distance of Civray market town, restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets which makes for a totally relaxing holiday. If you wish to drive, then days out at Poitiers (Futuroscope), Angouleme, Cognac are within an hour. Seaside trips to La Rochelle, Isle D'Oleron, Ile de Ray and Royan are within a couple of hours.

One of only two houses with river frontage in this part of Civray the grounds have 500 metres of private fishing on this prolific river. The front garden is walled and gated to the river so secure for children of all ages (and swimming dogs!), yet the rear garden is open and shaded by Walnut and Peach trees. There is a lovely shaded terrace for alfresco eating and picking your own grapes to go with the local Goats cheeses.

Civray has an excellent indoor and outdoor pool complex a 5-10 minute walk away, prices from 3 euros, whilst the local campsite, restaurant and bar, with a swimming area for wild swimming in the Charente is even closer.

As this is our home, we have fully equipped the facilities with good quality items, and fitted Sky TV in order to keep in touch with worldwide news. Wood for the fire is stored should it be needed.

For internet connection, whilst we do not have WiFi connection, we use an Amazon dongle and a Tesco PAYG Sim card with Unlimited EU connection - this has always worked perfectly well with our mobile phones or laptops. There are also wifi cafes in Civray itself.

Long term rents are available on request.
