House in Ojochal, Amazing views, Perfect Location

We cannot recommend Casa En El Cielo enough.

This is a luxury vacation villa for the outdoor lover. It’s an intoxicatingly fun rental property, featuring regular visits from Costa Rica’s impressive lineup of wildlife, as well as awesome beach access just a few minutes down the road.

With 3 bedrooms, 3 ½ bathrooms and a dreamy outdoor setup, Casa En el Cielo can accommodate up to 6 guests. Kids of all ages are welcome.

At Casa En el Cielo, each bedroom is equipped with an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning unit and television set. Other essential amenities include wireless internet throughout the villa, a dishwasher, washer/dryer units, parking for multiple vehicles and a gated entrance.

Located near the coastal town of Ojochal, approximately 4 hours southwest of the international airport in San Jose (SJO), Casa En el Cielo is unique in that it does not require a 4x4 vehicle to reach the property. Although we suggest renting a 4x4 vehicle for maximum maneuverability in the region, being able to actually get to a rental home in this part of the country without 4x4 is pretty rare. If long drives up gnarly dirt roads aren’t your cup of tea, Casa En el Cielo is a wonderful alternative compared to the majority of rental options.

To start with, the views at Casa En el Cielo are extraordinary, with the impressive Terraba River converging with the mighty Pacific Ocean right in front of your eyes. Toward the east, where Cumulonimbus clouds congregate around towering ridges of rainforest, the sounds of howler monkeys often thump in the distance, giving the place a Hollywood-like feel.

While you’re here, plan on spending all kinds of time in and around the infinity swimming pool, keeping a close eye on that river-to-sea combo view as well as the grill with all of the food on it. The barbecue is massive and forever yearning for someone to toss fresh mahi-mahi inside.

To complete the lively outdoor atmosphere there are loungers, a table and chairs setup, and a comfortable hammock available for those taking a break from the tropical sunbeams above. Furthermore, you can watch sports or a movie on the outdoor TV, or run a high-intensity cornhole tournament in the grass off to the side of the pool.

Make sure to visit close to low tide so you and your crew can venture into the breathtaking caves for a stroll through the abyss.
