"A very special place to stay as this was the family home of Florence Nightingale. We stayed in two bedrooms which were the rooms that she grew up in before she went to Crimea. This is not a hotel. It’s more of a guest house with a few of the rooms rented out on a nightly basis. The property is accessed through several gates so it’s on very private land. The views are amazing of the local countryside and there’s a very beautiful garden around the house and sheep in the fields a little further...

"When I arrived I was shown to my room by the owner who was very friendly, but as soon as we entered the room she noticed the bathroom was flooded. She explained that one of the staff members had been fiddling with a pressure reducing valve and it must have caused the shower to run with the door open. "The room was lovely with a two seater sofa, spotlessly clean. Nice tea and coffee facilities. The breakfast was outstanding. Lots of choice really nice quality food and very nicely cooked. The evening meal that we had there was also very good. Nice play area for children. I would add the pub had air conditioning, fantastic in the hot weather enjoying a nice glass of wine. Lots of space in the pub, good layout with different rooms and in my opinion a big bonus plenty of parking. ...
