"Shabby"

"We have always been able to depend upon Hampton Inns for excellence...until now! The property is rundown; needed paint; carpet was filthy and left our feet and shoes black on the bottoms; sheets did not fit the bed; breakfasts were not up to what we had come to expect based upon other Hampton Inns; corners of room and bath were dirty. Someone had knocked a hole in the closet door which had been very poorly repaired and left unpainted. We were very disappointed in this hotel in Lubbock, TX."

"Terrible property. They didn't want to rent to me because they said I smoked in the room but they came and checked the room and even gave me my deposit back because they're were no damages. The only reason they don't want me to stay longer is because I confronted them about stealing my things out of my room."

"Flies in the room and restroom. Fungus smell all throughout. Mold or mildew in the tub. You get what you pay for. We only slept there for 5 hrs."

"The owner of the property canceled all third party reservations due to a popular event. Found out only after attempting to check in after the event at about 11:30 pm. Luckily we were only 2 hours from home, so we made the trek back home. Be aware of this issue."

"The front desk employee was super helpful. I forgot a to print a waiver for a cheer clinic and she was gracious enough to help out, even though the printer at the hotel was down. Highly recommend."

"The breakfast offers a great variety and is delicious. The rooms are large and clean. The bathroom is spacious and clean, and comes stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap for guests. The location is excellent, close to Texas Tech. I really liked the hotel. Whenever I return, I will stay here again."

"The room was clean, and staff was helpful. I found it strange that the front desk had restrictions on the TVs volume. Remote would not work or couldn’t be adjusted without their assistance. The coffee maker in the room and refrigerator did not work properly. The refrigerator froze everything, when adjusted it was either to warm or way to cold. The air conditioner was so loud, it made it difficult to sleep. This was not somewhere I would stay again for longer than a night, our 3 day stay was...
