"Acomodação muito confortável e de bom tamanho, farto café da manhã e o quarto é silencioso. O hotel é bastante afastado dos principais locais do distrito dos lagos, portanto considere mais de 1 hora de carro para chegar em locais como Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere e Levens Hall."

"A lovely stay at Victorian House. Clean and comfortable room. The bed and pillows were so comfortable - real quality. The staff were very friendly and its a nice touch to have free cake at reception. I really enjoyed my stay."

"Parking space was a great plus. A nice old traditional pub with plenty tables outside. Bed comfortable enough for one night stay. Good, powerful shower. Delicious full english breakfast. "I've stayed here previously. It's a shame this place isn't a functioning pub anymore. Shame to see it go down hill. That said, the room was cheap and basic which reflects the property."

"Excellent place. We stayed in room 40 in the annexe for families. It has a big and comfortable main bed and bunk beds for kids. Clean and airy, very large room for family with great size bathroom. Pub food was excellent we had the chicken for dinner with wine all good, and sticky toffee pudding was generous size two could share. Overall a great place and convenient close to grasmere, Ambleside and the zip World. Great stay very pleased."

"The hotel is very well maintained, and staff were excellent. The breakfast was disappointing, as the only fruit available was an indifferent fruit salad. No prunes, grapefruit, peaches fresh strawberries etc. The only hotel I have stayed in where the cold buffet lacked fruit. The toaster (as is usual) either under toasts or almost burns the toast"

"There were some cracked tiles on the bathroom floor in the room I was in, and the WiFi was a little spotty, but overall a really nice hotel and would gladly stay there again"
