3BR Family Cottage in Sunny Heathcote close to Beach, CBD and Hiking Trails

Your comfy family stay in Christchurch! The house is nestled in the picturesque Heathcote Valley, just a stone’s throw from the CBD and Lyttelton, and famous for its mild microclimate.

You’re perfectly positioned with just a 5–10 minute drive to the city centre, Sumner beaches, and Lyttelton (known for its vibrant market and cafés). The port hills are an easy bike or 5 min car ride away, including the famous bridle path! (3 min drive or one stop on the bus.) You can hike the bridle path to Lyttleton, stop off for a coffee there and then get the bus back through the tunnel straight to down the road from the house. Heathcote valley is also famous for its gondola that goes up beside the bridle path. Two playgrounds & a café are within close walking distance from the house.
The number 8 bus stops at the end of the street and goes to the city, Lyttelton and the airport.

The home is warm and comfortable year-round, with double glazing, a heat pump in the living area, and electric blankets and heaters in all the bedrooms.

There are two bathrooms (downstairs and upstairs) with a shower each and a bath upstairs. There’s also a separate toilet.

Upstairs, three quiet bedrooms comfortably sleep up to 5 adults and 1 infant.

Downstairs, the bright lounge and dining room open onto a sunny cottage garden, and the kitchen is modern and well-stocked with all the equipment you need to cater for your group.

Ideal for longer stays, relocations, or families wanting a comfortable base in Christchurch.

Note: This is our family home, which we’re renting out while visiting family overseas. It’s well-equipped with all the practical touches you’d expect for an easy stay.
