"This was the best place I could have chosen for my week long visit to Valparaiso! Set atop a small hill a mile south of Sotomayor Square the guest house is in a more quiet neighborhood. This area is convenient for visiting the UNESCO areas, but much more peaceful and safe for walking around. " I had a very nice stay at the Puerto Mayor. It was a good value for the cost especially since it included breakfast. The hotel personnel were pleasant and the room was quiet.
I stayed there before a cruise and the cab ride to the terminal only took a few minutes. That was a real convenience. The hotel was within sight of the ship and no hotel was any nearer.
I got to San Antonio by bus from Santiago and the taxi ride from the bus terminal to the hotel only took about 15 minutes."
