Very good overall, but with a couple of issues worth noting:
1) water pressure on the shower is NOT adjustable and not so strong, which isn't a serious fault, but nonetheless below standards expected for this hotel's category;
2) though early check-in wasn't available past noon on a Sunday even for a 1 night stay (OK, fair enough, could happen), "shockingly" there was an upgrade available immediately for a better room for an extra $50 - offered without being asked about, "shockingly" as well. Also saw several other guests checking in at this same time that ours was denied and hotel wasn't fully booked (confirmed info). No proof here, but all points to the fact that our reservation was via OTA (3rd party) and prepaid. Didn't care for the upgrade, arrived after a 15 hour trip and just wanted to check in already (which was stressed with the reception, in fact)...Would gladly accept a downgrade, actually. Everyone loses this way...C'mon, guys, stop being so greedy for a mere extra $50!
That being said, the rest was truly excellent. VERY comfortable room and bed, room and bathroom size were more than satisfactory, good ammenities (Malin+Goetz), huge TV, fridge (small, but OK) and coffee maker in-room, etc, etc. Location was also extremely convenient for tourists.
It's sad to see this kind of behaviour get in the way of a simple 1-night-stay even on a slow day on such a remarkable hotel (apart from the shower issue). Aware of such possibilities, though, would still recommend.
