"We stayed here for 16 days in May 2025. We live locally, but we needed a place to stay while contractors repaired flood damage in our home. With everything going on at our own house, our nerves were pretty fried. Given our frazzled state, words fail to describe my gratitude for being able to stay at this home. The house is immaculate and extremely well-maintained. The gardens defy description. There were two acres of fenced-in yard for our dogs. The home and garden have several beautiful places...

"The house was very clean, well taken care of, and stocked with everything we needed. (In the main house there were a few more stairs than we were aware of, and a few very narrow and steep staircases which made it a bit more difficult for one of our family members who recently had broken a few ribs to get around, but not a deal breaker by any means) The pool was excellent (but could use a little shade - we were all vying for space under the one umbrella)Overall we had an excellent stay. "We found the cottage to be very clean and uncluttered. It was very comfortable for the 2 of us. Though we ate only breakfast in there were ample supplies and cooking materials if you wanted to eat in. We were very comfortable there and would recommend it."

"The home was lovely. 4 of us stayed, as we were in town for a memorial. After the memorial 10 of us gathered to look at pictures and chat. It was comfortable for a get together. Rooms were spacious and clean. We really enjoy our stay and would definitely stay here in the future. Host was helpful and quickly responded to our questions. "

"Really nice stay at this property - hosts were responsive, and left everything in great condition for us. Definitely a spot we'd love to use again. "

"We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. It was cozy and comfortable. The host was great about communicating. "

"Clean, relaxing stay on Lake Hopatcong. The views were beautiful and the dock area was enjoyable. Our grandkids enjoyed the kayaks. We had 3 generations in the house and were visiting family in the area. The location allowed for two day trips into NYC. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Cute and cozy and clean! We traveled from Topsail Island, NC for a family wedding in Sparta. Our dog loved it too! The host greeted us after the wedding and had a fire going for us to relax under the stars. The local diner for breakfast was great as well as the State Park for a hike. Wish we had more time...."
