Cottage in the Great Smoky Mountains With Spectacular Views & Farmhouse Decor

**STORM UPDATE 10/1/24: We do not have any storm damage from Tropical Storm Helene, which went east of us to Asheville. Businesses in Sylva, Dillsboro, and Bryson City are OPEN. The cabin has electricity, water, WiFi, cell signal, and satellite TV.

The perfect blend of farmhouse and cottage, our cozy private home is a 312 square foot cabin in the Smoky Mountains, with vintage farmhouse decor and spectacular sunset mountain views. The main room consists of a queen sized bed, 42" TV with satellite, and a kitchenette with seating for dining. One full bath includes a washer/dryer and upgraded shower. It easily accommodates couples looking for privacy and and is equally suited for the solo traveler. A small firepit area and a covered front deck with outdoor seating make you feel like you're in a private oasis in the woods.

​Satellite TV, WIFI, hair dryer, refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, washer/dryer, Keurig coffeemaker with coffee pods and coffee condiments included. Salt and pepper, olive oil, and vegetable oil. Aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and Ziploc bags.

All linens are provided, including bed linens, 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 2 wash cloths, kitchen towels and dish cloths.

New mattress in 2021. It is a Queen size Zinus 12 Inch Gel-Infused Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress,

We provide a "starter amount" of these items: paper towels, toilet paper, bath soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, dish washing liquid, trash bags, and hand soap.

Open deck with barbecue grill, Adirondack chairs, and sunset view. Covered porch with rocking chairs. Wood-burning firepit with Adirondack chairs (you supply the wood). Peaceful and quiet - the perfect getaway spot in the mountains.

I follow a five-step enhanced cleaning process. Here are a few highlights:

- I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob
- I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and I wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination
- I refer to cleaning checklists to thoroughly clean each room
- I provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay
- I comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines

​The cottage is about 30 feet from the owner's main house. You will enjoy your own privacy, but be close if you need anything.

Wonderful Relaxing Anniverary!

The property was in an excellent location being close to roads of places we planned to visit. The view from the top of the mountain was a beautiful sight to wake up to and a serene sight to end the day looking at the mountains and the changes each sunset brought. The decor of the cabin was our style which made us feel right at home. We loved all the “extras” provided to make our stay better than we imagined. Thank you for allowing us to stay an extra day in you beautifully designed relaxing cottage.

Wir waren schon zum 2. Mal hier und die Unterkunft hat uns wieder sehr gut gefallen. Das Bett ist sehr angenehm, es ist in der Küchenecke alles vorhanden, um eine einfache Mahlzeit zuzubereiten und der Kaffee aus der Keurig ist sehr lecker. Im Außenbeleuchtung haben wir die Feuerstelle mit den typischen Gartenstühlen genossen. Die Umgebung bietet viel, was alles gut in der Infomappe im Haus beschrieben ist.

Perfect Weekend Getaway Place

The tiny home was nicely decorated and clean. Coffee and creamers were offered which was a nice touch. A washer and dryer was also a nice convenience. Hope to stay there again in the future.

Short trip to visit my son

I was looking for a reasonably priced option for two nights to visit my son. As I was a solo traveler, this was perfect. Had a view, and all the amenities you get in a hotel room at a cheaper price. Entertained some family one evening and made Smores. Overall very positive experience

Slice of Heaven

This place is amazingly beautiful and the host has thought of everything you will need for your relaxing stay! She even has a complete welcome book with tons of suggestions and local information. While the yard is shared with the host's own home, it still felt very private and relaxing. The location is great and easy to access many small towns and hiking spots. There is tons of shopping, great food, and nature spots to enjoy. The only caution I would give is that many of the smaller towns are on mountain time or seasonal, and the shops and restaurants arent always open. Especially early in the week like Mon and Tues. It was a perfect getaway and I cant wait to return to view the colors of the NC mountains in the fall!

Cozy cottage with everything!

We loved the cottage! It was so comfortable and had everything we needed. I loved the nice touches like the super soft blankets and towels! The view was amazing and we enjoyed the fire pit! We also went to the waterfall recommended in the notebook and they were spectacular!

This was the best experience I have ever had with accommodations and all others will now be compared to! Decor, cleanliness, details and little extras in place for your visit make such a difference. A very special cottage - a jewel.

The most wonderful view of the mountains. Such a relaxing cottage to spend time at. Maggie, Brandon and Mary Anne were so kind to us. I hope that we will be able to travel back there every year ( and wish it might be more often)! A jewel that you don't find very often in life.

Best view and most beautiful cabin

I really enjoyed my stay in this beautifully decorated and clean cabin. The attention to detail was unbelievable. The antiques and decor were right out of a magazine. Everything is well thought out from the comfortable bed, to the my pillows to sleep on, the coffee bar and even several seating areas on the porch, by the out door fire pit and even a hammock to take a nap while watching the sunset. I will come to stay here again and give this place all the stars that I can give it. Thank you Marianne for giving my husband and I a place to relax and letting us enjoy your beautiful space.

Beautiful Mountain Top Cottage

Absolutely loved the feel and decor of this cute, little cottage. Super cozy and had an amazing view! The owner has thought of and provided absolutely anything you might need during your stay. The drive up and down the mountain is like a roller coaster, but we enjoyed the ride! Downtown Sylva has some amazing restaurants and shops, and is only a short drive away. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a quiet spot for a weekend getaway.

Wonderful Place

Staying here with my wife was one of the highlights of our trip for sure. There were instructions/labels for everything, even the light switches. The view was amazing for watching the sunset behind the mountains. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cozy place to stay on their trip. We'll definitely make an effort to stay here again in the future.

Small lovely cottage

Exactly as described. Great for a few nights layover. Property has great views. The owner lives next door and has another cabin nearby and it shows in the upkeep. Will stay here again.

A perfect getaway for New Year's 2022

This was one of the loveliest properties we have stayed in. It was delightfully decorated with so many sweet items. The owner gave us a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the mountains of NC. I highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed. The owner was great to work with and, although, we were very close to her own house, we never saw her except when we were returning. She was very attenuative to any thing we needed but never intruded on our privacy. We will definitely plan another trip to this property as it was a beautiful home and experience for both my husband and me!

WOW!!

Wow! Just wow! Nothing left undone! Such an amazing little cottage. The decor was very professional but yet comfy and inviting. All the little touches: -start up items like soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion - coffee pods, creamer, sugar -waffle maker with mix and syrup -fire starters -Luxurious towels, sheets and rugs This was definitely an experience and will return!!

Relaxing Getaway

My sister and I very much enjoyed our long weekend at Maggie’s Cottage. The cottage was very clean and cozy, and the decor was lovely.
