Cozy Bear Lodge on top of Casey's Mountain! - Great Location!!

Welcome to Cozy Bear Lodge where you can relax and enjoy the mountains!

The lodge is located within 20 minutes to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park entrance and conveniently located right off of the Great Smoky Mountain Expressway, which leads to Bryson City, Sylva, Waynesville, and Lake Junaluska! With Cherokee being the next town over, you can enjoy the Native American culture of the arts, stores, restaurants, and Harrah's Casino!

Enjoy the rocking chairs, cook on the grill, or rest in the hot tub on the back deck, or play checkers in the cozy corner of the living room or sit around the electric fireplace and watch a movie! Head down to the lower level and play foosball, ping pong, practice your putting, or play a boardgame!

The lodge has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a private loft with two twin beds. There is a full bathroom on the main level and a half bathroom on the lower level. Also on the lower level is a washer and dryer if you need.

Cozy Bear is the top most property on Casey's Mountain, so enjoy some privacy being surrounded by trees! There is also a winter mountain view to enjoy from the large windows in the living room and dining area!

Due to being close to the expressway and having all the local places easily accessible, you may hear some traffic noises while enjoying the deck. You might also be able to hear the steam train go by on the tracks that run along the Tuckasegee River!

We hope that we can make your stay in the western Carolina mountains as enjoyable as it has been for us!

A few additional items:
-We have a 12 cup drip coffee maker.
-Sheets and towels are provided for your use.

*Please note that 4-wheel drive is needed to get up the mountain during times of snow on the ground.

Bobby was very communicative before the stay, and answered any questions we had while on the trip in a very timely manner. The hot tub and the game room were fun activities to do as a family. The house was cozy and the perfect place to wind down after a busy day. With the location in the middle of Cherokee and Bryson City, you always had plenty of options for places to visit.

This was a great stay! The cabin was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the beds were genuinely restful. The hot tub with the sunset views made the evenings feel special. The host provided excellent cabin instructions, clear directions, and was very responsive with any questions. Easy check in, no surp!rises, just a relaxing trip with some great memories. The home was very clean and organized! They had toys along with the basement game zone so the kids had a blast. The temps were in the 30-40s and so we do wish there was a better heater in the basement. It never was warm and so the kids had to wear coats and shoes to be down there.

The cabin was clean and cozy. We loved the extras like the hot tub, the game room, washer and dryer, and the cabin rustic decorations. The area was so isolated and quiet being the last house at the top of Casey Mountain, and we loved the beautiful open feel with all the glass on the back side of the house. It was a great place for a retreat! Our host was incredibly responsive via email or text.

The cabin is an oasis: super clean, everything works, the hot tub is delightful, the deck was a highlight of just being. The kitchen is well stocked with all the basics. The TVs and internet access work beautiful. I was grateful that I brought salt n pepper, some spices, sugar, olive oil -- as there is absolutely nothing there for that and the grocery store is a good drive. Definitely will be back for the quiet and the stillness. Thank you!

My mother and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at this cabin! So roomy and comfortable. Loved the hot tub and laundry capabilities! This cabin is in the most perfect location to Bryson City and surrounding mountain towns. So relaxing here, we cant wait to book again in the future.

The views were amazing and home was spotless! The privacy was unexpected and getting to the cabin was easier than I thought. (During snow season I would definitely recommend a truck.) Perfect place for a couple or small family!

Great Family Weekend

Top of Casey’s Mtn.

It was the top of the mountain! The location was perfect. My uncle and I fished the local rivers and we had access to miles and miles of fishing within minutes of the cabin. Very clean. Owner was very responsive. The only minor reason for a 4 rating was the hot top jets didn’t work on the high setting. Otherwise the cabin is perfect. Great stay!

Sweet cabin

We had a group of 4 ladies celebrating a birthday. The cabin was perfect for us since everyone had their own bed, comfortable TV seating, and a place in the hot tub! Cabin was decorated very nicely and very clean. We ate all our meals in, but it was close to plenty of restaurants if desired. Very close to Cherokee and the national park, also to Bryson City and Dillsboro. Really enjoyed the deck and the hot tub. Owners provided good directions and instructions. We would definitely return to the Cozy Bear Cabin!
