"I genuinely don’t understand how this hotel manages to stay in business. From the moment I checked in, it was clear that this place is long overdue for a complete overhaul—starting with the room bathrooms, which were an absolute disaster. Poor water pressure, inconsistent drainage, flushing that looked like they hadn’t been updated (or properly maintained) in decades made even the simplest routines frustrating. The rooms themselves felt stuck in another era—and not in a charming, vintage way....

"My fiancé and I stayed 3 nights here in March and while I wouldn't call it a 5-star hotel, we had an excellent experience. Something to consider when staying here is that it is located about 40 minutes away from the main city area (Christiansted) and the roads leading up the hotel get narrow and the cell service gets shotty. The drive is so far out that some Uber drivers decline your ride because they do not want to drive out that far. I would def let them drive instead of renting if you are...

"I’ve been going to St Croix for 12 years and need to advise that if you’re looking for a 5 star luxury hotel / resort; you’re on the wrong island; goto St Thomas. Hotels here are mainly historic / small, which keeps with the island. With that said I loved staying at this hotel. It’s 300 years old; very clean, in the heart of everything, just feet from the restaurants / shops / water. The manager is on site. Had metal poking up on both beds, screaming kids until 1 o’clock in the morning, banging on the walls and screaming rundown building when we asked for another unit, the other unit was exactly the same had bugs in it run down worthless bed the owner that told us that if we wanted a refund we had to turn over the keys and leave right now that was at 1:30 in the morning we had to sleep with our car on the streets of St. Croix.
