Rustic home nestled in the tree tops overlooking the Tennessee River. Year-round water is perfect for fishermen to enjoy freshwater fishing. The outdoor living spaces include a dock on the river, a pavilion that overlooks the river, a screened porch outside the ground level, & a wrap-around deck outside the den and master bedroom. The back of home faces the river & the sunset view is breathtaking. Property sits at Buoy Mile Marker 495 on the Tennessee River with easy access to the Grasshopper Creek boat ramp.

Paradise found!!!

We hosted a family reunion! It was everything we hoped for! Kids loved the lake, boating and fishing! The accommodations were perfect! There was more than enough space for our large group cookouts, gathering on the decks to watch the sunsets, and storytelling in the living room space. Beverly is a great host! Communication A!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! It was our second reunion there and would highly recommend!!!

Very relaxing!!!

We really enjoyed our time here and the listing is accurate. The gift basket was amazing and we really enjoyed the information about the items being Tennessee made. Communication with the host was excellent. The only "problems" we had were minor and did not affect our overall stay. The vent fan in the upstairs bathroom kept tripping the breaker and the only way we could get the oven to turn off was to flip the breaker. A suggestion would be to add a chair to the large upstairs bedroom, with the bed being so high (although very comfy!) it was difficult to put my shoes on. I know, not a huge deal - just a suggestion as someone older might not feel secure coming down the hardwood steps in socks.

Gorgeous views

We stayed here for a long weekend to attend a family wedding at Howe Farms. Upon check in, we found an amazing welcome basket that both the adults and kids enthusiastically enjoyed! We actually had really nice weather for March and the older teens were able to take the 2 kayaks out and paddled across the river and back! There are a lot of steps down to the dock and river, but it was fun to enjoy the deck and all its space. The sunsets were beautiful along the river.

After Christmas reprieve

Great location on the lake! I was really too cold to enjoy the outdoor amenities. We will plan to go back in the summer. The house was a little dated, some of the fixtures needed repair. I really appreciated the Christmas decorations.

Fisherman’s Retreat was a TREAT!!!!!

We hosted an early Thanksgiving family reunion. It was a perfect place…the parking ample, amenities excellent, kitchen fully equipped, beds cozy, fireplace warm and inviting, wonderful welcome basket, and the host was quick to answer our few texts. We plan to return to this spacious home!!!!

Beautiful lodging for family who came to daughter's wedding

Gorgeous view of the Tennessee river from the spacious porches and decks. It was a clean and well-supplied home that met our needs very well. The spaces were comfortable and tastefully decorated. We appreciated that it was uncluttered and had modern appliances. It was a bit of a drive over some narrow roads to go for groceries but the view and peacefulness made it worth it.

Great Stay

We stayed here for my daughter’s wedding weekend! It was a perfect location close to the venue (Howe Farms). I wish the weather could have been better to enjoy the beautiful outdoors of your home.

Fishing vacation

It was exactly as listed on VRBO. 8 adults stayed comfortably, lots of memories made. We had 4 boats and had plenty of room to park and plug in, short distance to ramp. Beautiful sunsets! Screen doors/ porch screens in need of repair, so we were unable to open doors or use screened in porch as designed due to mosquitoes and spiders.

Wedding weekend stay

I chose this Airbnb for my sister, the bride, and her bridesmaids to stay. The venue was at Howe’s farms, about a 25 minute drive. It was perfect and being on the water was so nice! Definitely would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a weekend getaway by the water.

Better then expected!

I marked the accuracy of the online description low just because it was better than expected. The house was pretty clean but really nice. It was an older home/cabin but well taken care of for its age. They hosts left a really nice gift basket which was a great touch and so appreciate. It was filled with local Tennessee items for us to enjoy. The decks, dock and lake views were incredible. There was nice lighting on all the decks and steps leading down to the lake. The dock unexpectedly had a boat lift and two jet ski lifts to keep your water crafts safe. The top deck had been replaced with trex decking and they had a half dozen very nice Adirondack chairs on the boat dock that had a deck on top. There was also nice lounge chairs at the house deck and middle deck for several nice places for an outdoor supper or comfortable place to sit and take in the natural beauty. We were very impressed with this rental and may rent it for a week next summer.

The perfect place!

Wow! There are not enough Greta things to say about this place. Clean, the place is huge! Like other reviewers have said, the pictures do not the place justice. We had such a great time. The doc is really nice and there are plenty of hang out areas. Really nice that there are board games in the house We would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the area. It is perfect!

This place is beautiful

My entire family loved this place. We spent several days on the water. The kayaks and paddle boards were in good condition. The AC worked great. The Home really had every accommodation. This is one of our most favorite places we have ever stayed. This was such a great vacation.

Wonderful lake front property

The pictures don't do this beautiful home justice! Everything was very clean and had everything we needed! Communication was very easy with the owners. The neighborhood is wonderful, the sunsets from the deck are amazing. I loved kayaking on the lake/river, it was nice calm water. There are tons of stairs to the dock so if you have mobility issues this may not be ideal, but we loved it! The welcome basket was such a nice touch as well! Check out the Laurel-Snow natural area near there, the Laurel waterfall was beautiful!

Great Stay

This property is very nice. The owner greets with a special package of items from the local area. The beds are overly soft for my tastes, but it was manageable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view of the water.
