We absolutely enjoyed our stay with Maria at the carriage house! Iā€™d have to say running into and chatting with Maria mightā€™ve been my favorite part about the whole place. The property was located in a really convenient part of town and Maria made sure we had everything we needed and more!I feel like not only did we discover a new town but we discovered a new friend as well. St Elmo is a great little area with great eats.

The property and owner was great. But Iā€™m about done with the bed breakfast slash Vrbo experience. So many ad ons Iā€™m ready to go back to the hotels and let them do the dishes

Just right for our girls trip

Loved the location- we walked to ice cream and the grocery store our first night. The space was perfect for me, my daughter, and 5-year old granddaughter. Bedding and towels so comfy.

Beautiful Place

The outside area was gorgeous. The house was very comfy. Filtered water and coffee was very nice to have available. The property owner was so friendly and helpful. Overall, a very nice stay! We will definitely look to book there again on our next trip to Chattanooga!

Nice location!

Convenient location to Rock City and Lookout Mountain, which we loved! The host, Maria, is very friendly. The Carriage House is above the garage so a flight of stairs is involved to get there. Everything worked okay but the unit was a bit dated for the price.

Weekend Getaway to celebrate 41 years of marriage

We enjoyed our stay so much! This is a perfect location to Rock City and Ruby Falls. You can walk to eat at various restaurants. The rental is just as it was presented...so quant, quite and a safe location. Would highly recommend booking and hope to return soon. The owner was sweet to reach out asking if we needed anything.

We had a great stay, the upstairs loft was a little stuffy as far as air selection so my boy ended up wanting to sleep downstairs but there were comfortable accommodations down there that made sleeping I. The living area nice.

St Elmo Carriage House

Had a great time staying at this cozy rental. The location in St Elmo gives you small town feel while being near all the big city amenities. Rental was well furnished and outfitted for everything you might need when away from home. Would definitely stay again.

AMAZING property and host!

We had a GREAT time staying in this adorable home! It may seem small HOWEVER, my husband and I stayed in the bedroom and our 2 kids (age 12 and 8) absolutely loved having their own space in the loft. This area was close to EVERYTHING we wanted to see and do while in Chattanooga (Ruby falls, rock city, lookout mountain, raccoon mountain caverns, the incline, and downtown Chattanooga). I can not say enough about how clean, and well stocked this place was. Maria was an absolute treasure of a host and her place is just perfect. We will definitely be back to Chattanooga and I wouldnā€™t even bother looking for any other place to stay :)

Ok for a short stay for two people

This was fine for a night or so, for two people. More than two people is tough due to the loft being a tight space, with a low ceiling. Unfortunately, there was a strong urine odor when you walked into the house that we smelled each time we came in from being out which was gross. The washer and dryer (a stackable unit) do not work properly and should not be listed as amenities. Also, I normally would never book a place that does not have a dishwasher as this is not sanitary. We only dined out and carried in, using paper plates and plastic ware, so it wasnā€™t a problem but I would not do this again.

Great location near all the great spots to visit and super close to get down to the river area. The carriage house was exactly as shown and very well decorated. The owner checked on us more than once via text which was extremely considerate. Highly recommend.

If there was a 6 star rating, I would have selected it. Perfect location in St Elmo. The carriage house was supplied with our basic necessities and the unit was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. Our host, Maria, made sure our arrival and check in went smoothly and she communicated with us to make sure we had everything we needed. If you like trails, there is one nearby, the Guild Trail on Lookout Mtn. Will definitely book again.

Property, yard & landscape was artistic & beautiful!!!!!! Furniture inside was antique & decor was fabulous. St. Elmo historic district was perfect- felt safe walking the neighborhood enjoying the town. Not far from Chattanooga as well. Loved it!!!

First let me say I would 100% stay here again. The ā€˜badā€™: when we arrived it took a moment to figure out which apartment was ours because thereā€™s two and the listing has pictures of the outside of both. We did figure it out though. There are stairs that lead up the apartment. The good: everything else was good! The carriage house is obviously old and part of the history of the area. The apartment has been nicely renovated. There is everything there that you could need. The couches, the television, the dishes, the coffee maker, literally everything. Tons of towels and extra sheets/blankets. Immaculately decorated. Absolutely loved it.

Mom and daughter respite

The carriage house looked like a place out of a decorator's magazine. It was cozy, comfortable, and convenient. The second queen in the loft allowed both of us to have room to spread out to sleep. The kitchen was equipped with all the basics so we made most of our own meals.
