Lake Front Getaway, Family Friendly.

Enjoy the lake life and relax at Bally K, a cozy 3-bedroom cottage on a secluded 1.5-acre waterfront lot. 28 mins from downtown Charlotte, 5 minutes from I-77, in the gold zone for retail and amenities.

This is a low-slope lot. Everybody gets easy access to the water. No steps to climb at the dock, no steps to climb to get home.

Recently renovated with a new kitchen, hardwood floors, and new furnishings. Covered and screened-in porch with dining area. Open deck with great views of the lake.

30' x 30' floating dock. Deepwater lot with 12' - 18' of water at the pier, depending on the season. (12' in winter) Covered gazebo located over the water to enjoy those Lake Norman sunsets.

Get unlimited use of the 4 kayaks and the 2 stand-up paddleboards, all free with rental. Launch them from the dock or the sandy beach at the water's edge. Swim in the safe and protected private bay, no boat traffic, perfect for children of all ages.

Bring your boat, and put it in at Haggar Creek public access. Navigate less than 1/2 a mile back to our pier, and tie it up in the private boat slip.

Time Warner cable with Disney, Nick, Nick Jr, Boomerang, and all of the kid channels. Play Station, Wii, with lots of games. Great place for kids to enjoy their summer vacation.

Free broadband WiFi

10 min drive to Target, Best Buy, Sam's, Wall-Mart, Dick's, Belk's, and more. 10-minute drive to great food or take your boat to one of the many lakefront restaurants.

The house is located in a residential neighborhood. At no time are parties or events permitted on the property.

I do not usually do reviews- This is much needed to let everyone know what a wonderful place. The owner was very thoughtful in furnishing the house- everything we needed and more was supplied (beachtowels/ throws/coffee pods/life jackets and so much more) The view of the lake and outside sitting areas were wonderful. It is hard to put in words how much we enjoyed our stay so I will just say -Thank you for allowing us to share your lake home. The sisters

We have been staying at BallyK for past several years and will be back. Great location; quiet, good lake view and access, convenient grocery store and restaurants. Easy checking in and out process and the family that owns BallyK are helpful and super nice.

We booked last minute to do some house hunting and found this gem! Bally K is in an idyllic setting nestled in a quiet cove on Lake Norman. Even bad weather couldn’t ruin our visit. The convenience of tying up our boat was a huge bonus.Tim was kind enough to assist us with the boat launching. The cottage exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival there was a generous fruit bowl and lovely flowers to welcome us. The whole place was sparkling clean and fresh.The bed was extra cozy and the shower was luxurious. Every night we grilled and made a fire in the family room. We would have preferred a sunnier week but Bally K was a delightful shelter from the storms. Looking forward to booking again soon!

Very much enjoyed our stay again! Thank you for sharing your home, and all the extras! We had a relaxing time and cannot wait to return! Comfy beds, screened-in porch with plenty of seating, the dock furniture was great for evening fishing or hanging out, and the sunning deck with umbrella is perfect for lounging. Loved the new couch and chair as well, and that the kitchen is always well stocked! Quality finishes make this one feel comfortable and like home!

The house is wonderful and the views were instantly relaxing! I stayed for a few days while in town visiting my parents who also stayed. It was the perfect location, tucked back into a quiet residential neighborhood but close to restaurants and stores. The dock and spacious back porch were beautiful! We took the kayaks out for a spin on the lake and my parents really enjoyed their time. The hosts were responsive and the house was immaculate. I plan to return again!

Wonderful weekend getaway. Convenient location for food, and amazing home. Very clean and had tons of entertainment options for the kids. We selected this rental based on the ease of access from the home to the water (no steps) and it exceeded all expectations. Would love to revisit this home again!

Timothy was very prompt in responding to me. The house was very clean, organized, and had everything that you could possibly need. Timothy was so accommodating; we were greeted with fresh fruit, chocolates, cookies, and a lovely welcome note. We could not have asked for a better girls weekend away. First impressions are important. The cleanliness of the house was impeccable. Kudos to the cleaning crew. The Owners thought of everything! Plenty of towels, bath and beach. Stainless cookware and everything that was needed in the kitchen. Comfortable beds and pillows. Lots of ways to relax....we especially enjoyed the screened porch and gazebo on the pier. Our son and his family came to visit most days and they enjoyed the shallow entry to the water and the numerous paddleboards and kayaks. We had trouble dragging them out of the water to eat...Overall, one of the best vacation homes we have ever had the pleasure to rent. Top notch all around. Just the best Thank you

We have been vacationing to NC beaches for over 20 years and now LOVE the lake! This house was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers). We loved staying at Bally-K. Despite the dreadful heat and humidity, it was so lovely to be in a simple, cozy cottage in a small cove. Quiet, relaxing, and welcoming. All things we needed were provided and more! From the flowers, to the treats - we loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Listing said there were 3 queen beds when in fact there was only 2 and a couch that folds out into what amounts to a single. We were very happy with everything else and had a very relaxing vacation.

We were in love with everything about this cottage! It was absolutely perfect…the location, the view, the dock, the lake, the amenities, the hosts, everything! The cottage was super cozy and decorated beautifully. The bathroom was amazing and the beds were comfy. The kitchen had everything we could need. The view from all the windows and from the screened in porch and deck was breathtaking! Tom and Katherine were amazing and the most thoughtful hosts we’ve ever had! They had fresh flowers, fruit, and goodies along with a handwritten welcome note when we arrived. They went above and beyond to provide us with everything we would need. They even put some wood in the fire pit for us after we messaged to find out where we could buy some wood. My family thoroughly enjoyed our first vacation to Lake Norman! We spent everyday either on the boat that we rented or swimming and floating right off the dock. The ladder made it so easy to get in and out. The evenings were spent cooking out and playing yard games by the water. We cannot wait to go back to the Bally K next summer!

We were in love from the moment we turned into the driveway! Breathtaking view of the lake, cozy and inviting entrance to the cottage with windows that allowed views of the backyard and dock…just perfect for our week to enjoy the lake with family and friends. My wife and I have been using this home for 5 last vacations. The owners are friendly and accommodating. Cozy home with all the amenities. Lake front is good for fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc…. 10 mins from restaurants and grocery stores. Our children and grandkids come visit for a day and they always look forward to coming. Will be back!
