My wife and I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Concord, North Carolina, from May 9–11, 2026. Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing Hilton property experience we have had in the area.
The breakfast was by far the worst we have encountered at any hotel, ever. Sunday’s breakfast was marginally better than Monday’s, but overall the quality of the fare and selection were poor. My wife took one bite and threw away the rest.
We were assigned a handicap-accessible room with a roll-in shower without being informed in advance. Had we known, we would have requested a standard room. In addition, the room was inadequately stocked. There was no shampoo available upon arrival, very little soap, and what little soap was provided quickly ran out. The sink stopper also did not work properly.
After the first night, we expected at least basic room service or housekeeping attention on the second day, but none occurred. I ultimately had to request fresh towels for our second night from the lady at the front desk.
The walls were extremely thin. We could clearly hear our neighbors’ conversations throughout the stay, which made it difficult to relax.
The fitness center equipment worked, but unlike many other Hilton properties, there was only one treadmill. My wife and I prefer to work out together, and other Hilton locations in the area have at least two treadmills.
Having now stayed at three Hilton properties in the Concord area, this experience convinced me that I will avoid the Hamp
