Private Detached Guest House Close to Historic Charleston

Private detached Guest house (500 ft²) with NO connecting neighbors
- Safe and secure off-street parking right next to your door
- A perfect jumping off point for those who want to experience Folly Beach and Downtown Charleston!
- Located in the established walkable Bayfront community with waterfront Dock Street Park just a block away. Perfect if you want to get a "locals" feel of the area.
(Located on James Island)


The Space
You are only:
- 3.5 miles and (only 1 stop light) to Historic Downtown Charleston - basically a straight shot over the scenic James Island bridge to downtown.
- 6 miles to Folly Beach
- 14 miles to the Charleston Airport
- There are several restaurants and bars including a city park within walking distance.

Folly Beach and Downtown are not within walking distance. Rentals in those areas have significantly higher prices and usually lack adequate parking and conveniance if you want to see greater Charleston.

Transportation:
A car is recommended if you want to see all of the sites that Charleston has to offer. Uber and Lyft are easily available due to the close proximity to downtown Charleston

Guest access
Full use of the detached apartment, its amenities and the large open back yard on (.6 acres) giving you complete privacy without hearing other guests.

I live in the main house at the front of the property (over 100 ft away). So feel free to come and go as you please without disturbing anyone!


Other things to note:
PETS
- An additional one time $75 is required. Please be sure to add your pet to the guest list. The property is not fully gated, however it is on a very large lot.

PARKING
- Your own secure paved off-street parking (approximately 1250 ft²) just a few feet from your door. The parking area can accommodate multiple cars, trailers and campers - I've had some guests bring their boats. You will not get this Downtown!

BEDS
- Master Bedroom: King
- Cot available when booking with 3 or more.
- The couch can be extended to sleep one more.

AMENITIES
- We provide basic amenities such as shampoo/conditioner, body wash, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash can liners, laundry and dishwashing soap, towels, cooking pans, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, and salt & pepper.
- Beach umbrella, towels, cooler and chairs are also provided

- Range, Fridge, Microwave, Washer and Dryer, Blender, Toaster and Coffeemaker. There are also 6 grocery stores within 2 miles.

We wanted to explore Charleston but wanted a quiet place to rest at the end of the day. This room was clean and quiet. Chris cared about our comfort and it ended up being a great choice for us to stay here. We did struggle to find good, healthy food to eat while we were there. Cudo Co became our favorite spot with fresh veggie sides, fresh fish that we had blackened and Kambucha. I’ve heard the fried fish is the best also if that’s your thing.

It was exactly what we were looking for. On James island and only a short drive into Charleston. The guest house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here to celebrate my 50th birthday in the Low Country. The property was very clean. The king sized bed was comfortable and there were amenities that made things convenient. The neighborhood was easy to navigate and mostly quiet. It’s an easy trip to Folly or downtown Charleston. Chris was easy to contact and responsive as well. The patio is a nice place to sit and enjoy the day, too.

In between Charleston and Folly Beach, it was a perfect little place for us to be able to get around and see multiple areas in an extended weekend. Chris the owner thought of just about anything you would need while staying. Quiet neighborhood, easy parking, and I would highly recommend!

This is located in a very convenient location and perfect for someone(s) who just need a place to land in the evening. Couch was a little uncomfortable when we sat down in the evening to work and pillows were uncomfortable but overall I rank it high. Owners were friendly and non-instrusive and they have an adorable dog we got to meet! Extremely clean unit and they had some coffee pods for us as well as laundry detergent. Thank you for a great stay!

A great studio apartment that’s pet friendly. The outdoor shower is a great bonus especially after time at the beach. Chris is a great host and provided everything we needed for a few days of R&R. The park down the street is a fantastic place to watch the sunrise or sunset. Convenient location for Folly Beach, shopping, restaurants or accessing Charleston and the surrounding area.

We enjoyed our accommodations and location! We were able to experience the best of both worlds of Folly Beach and downtown Charleston. We appreciated the available amenities including beach chairs and umbrella! Perfect space for two looking to explore the city of Charleston.
