We understand how important it is to feel at home and this place offers that feeling. This is an entirely private, stand-alone home downtown with outdoor space and off-street parking!

This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops ā€“ including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques ā€“ as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

Great historic house

We had a great stay at this home! It was more than spacious enough for our group of three adults and one child. The house has a charming historic feel but is very well maintained. The host was incredibly responsive, offering helpful suggestions and quick answers to any questions. The home was well-stocked with coffee, toiletries, and other thoughtful amenities. Our child especially loved playing hide and seek throughout the house!The location is convenient, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. While the French Quarter was a bit too far for our group to walk (about 1.5 to 2 miles away), the College of Charleston was very close by.The neighborhood does have some street noise, which is expected given its proximity to restaurants and bars. However, a bit of white noise helped block most of it out. The only drawbacks were the early morning construction noise from King Street, which may improve for future guests, and a couple of nearby homes showing signs of neglect.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home to others!

Cute & Quirky

This quirky old house is located near the north end of the King Street shopping district. Ā The area has lots of foot traffic and is walking distance to restaurants and shops but a littleĀ farther away from the main area of King Street.Ā  The two bedrooms up and two bedrooms down is a great layout for multipleĀ families or ages.Ā  There is a second living area upstairs, but only one TV in the whole house. Ā A railing has been added to the staircase since the pictures were taken whichĀ isĀ a good addition. Ā There is also a new washer and dryer. Ā The decor is very cute, but the kitchen and bathrooms could use an update and the interior could use a paint job. Ā The beds in the house are very comfortable and easily sleep the 12 listed.Ā  However, there is not enough kitchenware for a party of 12. Having the dedicated parking space is key if you haveĀ a rental car.Ā  As of our stay in earlyĀ March 2025, a large construction project has just started on the corner catty-corner from the property and was very loud starting early morning and lasting until 5pm each day of our stay.Ā  WhileĀ the management company was very responsive during booking, prior to arrival, and after checkout, I received no response when I reached out regarding the construction to see if we had any options.Ā  I know the owners and management cannot control the construction, but I did expect at least an acknowledgementĀ of my inquiry. Ā

This home is in a transitional area but a very good location if you are visiting King st. An older home with character and we were satisfied but maybe not quite as nice as the pictures looked. The bathrooms were very small. All that to be said the management of the home was top notch. The best response and assistance I have ever experienced using VRBO.

Girls Weekend

My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend mostly for the location. We were able to walk to most places and there was enough space for all 8 of us. Pros: -Communication with property manager was quick responses -Location was good for exploring King st -Plenty of bed space -Check in and out process very smooth -Parking spot for a small car Cons: -Listing was not accurate for living room furniture and couches are hard -Old neighborhood being renovated and next to a bar so loud people outside and construction started at 6:30 every day -Very much an older property with nails sticking out of the floor, floorboards giving out in some places, water stains on walls, and outlets in some areas very unstable. Also cable box dangled over a heating vent -Little to no kitchen utensils or seasonings Overall it did what we needed it to but had the listing been more accurate I think the price was a little high for what we got.

The communication between the property manager was great. It was a quick response to all my questions. The rooms were clean but the house looked nothing like the pictures on the website.. It was a little deceiving. The house can use a paint job. The stairs were not safe. The beds were super comfortable.

The house itself was nice, clean and not a bad location. The parking was the only problem driveway can fit one small car. The additional car we had cost $18.00 per day and a 10 min walk to the parking garage a few blocks away. Other than that our stay was great.

Charleston Getaway

Nice, spacious home. Bathtub and shower on the smaller side for adults and would have preferred a railing on the stairs to the second floor. Beds were very comfortable. Communication with the contact was exceptional. Location in walking distance to downtown and an adorable place to get coffee just around the corner.

Older Home with Modern Style!!!

First and foremost, be sure to reach out to David if you have any questions or concerns. He is quick to respond, very reasonable, and wants to ensure your stay is clean and comfortable. The house is clean and well stocked with kitchenware for short or long stays. It stays cool on hot days and the dehumidifier works well...just be sure empty the reservoir so that it keeps working. There is not a lot of counter space in the bathrooms (particularly upstairs), and the downstairs bathroom does not have a wall mounted mirror. However, there is a tall mirror in the room next to it. We made it work, and it wasnā€™t that big of a deal. We were impressed with the space and chic styling inside. The location was fantastic. There is a really good local pizza shop right out the front door, a bar next door, and tons of other cool places in walking distance. Also, itā€™s super easy to hit I-26 to head over to Mt. Pleasant (Patriotā€™s Point) or to hit any of the main roads leading to the French Quarter. All in all, our experience was superb! Thanks, David!

Highly Disappointed

This house shows well in photos and is charming at a glance. But, we were very uncomfortable here and left halfway through the stay. There were mosquitoes inside the house that we were not prepared for. There is a small bar next door with college students partying in the street in front of the house. The house smells of mildew from a humidifier that is black with mold. There were no blankets. The tiny bathroom has a sink that doesnā€™t drain. And I mean, when you brush your teeth it takes 10 minutes for the water to drain. The ice maker doesnā€™t work. There are no curtains anywhere, only blinds. But the blinds in the bedroom donā€™t fully cover the window so we had to hang a towel in the window. The back door has no dead bolt and has a large pain window in the door. We did not feel safe and had to push the trash can in front of the door. And there is a great deal of construction going which made things very noisey. We did not call the property manager to address all of these matters because we felt it was a lot and some things they simply couldnā€™t fix. So we opted to leave. We asked for a refund of the days we we not there but got none. We returned home more stressed than when we left and were highly disappointed at having wasted this time and money.

Short Girls Trip

We loved this house! There were supposed to be 7 of us staying, but there ended up just being 3 that were able to go. We got in Sunday afternoon and checked out Wednesday morning. We walked from the house to King street on multiple occasions to grab food or shop. It was the perfect location for us! Staying in one of the high-end hotels right on kind street wouldā€™ve been slightly more convenient, but not enough to make the price difference worth it. This house was everything we needed and more! It has all the charm of an older home, with all the comfort and style of a mid-century modern getaway. It rained on us one day so we spent the afternoon and evening playing games, watching movies and eating cookies. The kitchen was perfect, although we could online find 1 dinner plate. We just used s the small dessert plates for our breakfast, but we mostly ate out so it wasnā€™t a huge deal. The appliances all worked great. One sort of warning, the fridge made lots of loud sounds all day / night long. We couldnā€™t figure out why, but it ended up just being a funny quirk of the house we all laughed about. Another thing that I actually saw another review mention, was that I wish there had been more storage in the bathroom to put toiletries and cosmetic bags. We ended up putting it all on the floor for the most part. Overall we had a blast! The property manager was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly. I was very thankful for him, we loved everything about our experience with this sweet home!!

Perfect for girls trip!

We had an amazing time in Charleston! The rental was comfortable, clean, and check-in and out was extremely easy! The beds were very comfy and the upstairs den area was really cute! A rolling cart like those from IKEA would have been nice in the upstairs bath to accompany tolietries for several gals. All in all, we had a great experience!
