Bedrooms and Bathrooms Both bedrooms feature king beds dressed in luxurious linens and generous closet space. The serene bathrooms offer quartz surfaces and walk in showers. A stack washer and dryer are tucked into a separate closet for guest use.
Living Space and Interior Details This newly restored apartment showcases a tranquil color palette, distinctive artwork, and modern décor layered with historic details. Original woodwork and flooring remain throughout, along with original brick fireplaces in the living area and primary bedroom. Step out onto the classic piazza to enjoy views of the charming streets below.
Kitchen and Dining The kitchen is outfitted with artisan tile work, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, and coffeemaker. A kitchen island seats three, while the dining table comfortably seats six. Sparkling dinnerware and cooking essentials are provided.
Technology and Comfort Enjoy flat screen TVs in the living area and one bedroom, along with high speed cable and internet throughout the apartment.
History and Significance The building was lovingly restored in 2018 by a couple from New York City and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The apartment honors Dianna Brown, Charleston’s first Black female antique dealer, who built a thriving business here in the early 20th century despite the challenges of her time.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here, it’s our favorite! We love how clean and new it is inside, but still has so much historic charm. The furniture is comfortable, the washer/dryer are so convenient, and we love spending time on the balcony. It’s the very best location also, easy walk to so many historic sites, art galleries, museums, restaurants, and shopping, as well as the waterfront. Communication is excellent, just the right amount of them checking in with us to make sure all is well; and immediate responses when I message a question. Can’t say enough about how perfect this place is!

Great, great, great location! Everything I happen to have reservations at was literally a four minute walk away. Museums were all around and a coffee shop and delicious bakery were right downstairs. Great experience. Also the home itself was very. well decorated and a great kitchenette was right at the entrance so it was convenient. The porch was also perfect to just people watch why you had your coffee.

This VRBO had it all--historic but all the modern conveniences and in the heart of the French Quarter. It was perfect for two couples--each with their own dreamy king beds and bathrooms. The comfy porch overlooking horse-drawn carriages below was a real plus. Both couples agreed that it was the perfect place for our week in Charleston.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Dianna Brown Place. Very Clean and had everything we needed. Location was fabulous. We walked nearly everywhere during our trip. Centrally located and walkable to most places. We also LOVED the bakery beneath us. So easy to go down and grab breakfast and a coffee every morning. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

The property was so clean! I would say if it is two couples definitely two en-suites as the second has a door that closes so if you do not use the pull out bed is totally private. The internet was terrible and being the suite directly above the restaurant was a little noisy. The beds were super comfortable!!

Great location, clean, quiet, perfectly size space. The balcony on the side was great for late nights and early mornings. Having a private parking spot was a huge plus as well. Bakery downstairs was nice too.

The Perfect Getaway
This is the cutest property. Very easy to access, parking as part of your stay and gorgeous, sun lit rooms throughout. Everything is spotless, and amenities have been thought of in spades. Beds are comfortable, towels are soft, and all the things you would need are at your disposal. We would love to stay here again next time we are in Charleston!

Perfect location and charm
We took our children (ages 6 and 4) for a week long vacation in Charleston. This place was perfect for all of our needs. The speedy laundry machines, the spacious rooms, and piazza made our lives much easier! The off street parking and Harken cafe underneath were an added bonus. We can’t wait to come back here again!

Perfect location!!
I can’t say enough good things about this property! The location, accommodations, host friendliness, etc was above and beyond. The VRBO itself was beautiful, clean, had a large porch, and was in the perfect location. It was right near everything without being too close and have to deal with crowds and noise at night. We all agreed that when we come back to Charleston, we will absolutely be staying here again, as well as recommending it to all of our family and friends!!

Great VRBO
This property was outstanding. The location is perfect and the coffee shop below is an added plus. The property was clean and exactly as depicted in the listing. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen appeared to be stocked with all of the essentials to prepare a meal. Washer and dryer worked effortlessly. Communication with the owners was easy and efficient. Will be staying here again.

Excellent property in the best location we could ask for. Tons of restaurants, art galleries, coffee shops and shopping within blocks. The house itself was clean, well laid out and had everything we needed. We’ve stayed on upper King Street before but we enjoyed this location much better. Property management was great too.

A fabulous surprise!
This apartment exceeded our expectations! So many VRBO properties don't measure up to their listing descriptions. This property is the perfect place to stay. Spotless, quiet (even when the bakery is open) and close to everything you want to see in Charleston. The property management team answered any questions we had within minutes (literally). They were amazing and so was our trip! We will definitely be back!

Three days in Charleston, South Carolina
Three days in Charleston were very nice. The location of our accommodations was walkable to all of the things we wanted to do. We had a car but kept in the parking lot the whole time. Only downside was being in the heart of town started up early in the morning sometimes before 7 AM, but that was a minor inconvenience for such aThree days in Charleston we’re very nice. Convenient location
The location is great you can walk to everything in downtown Charleston. The home was very clean, however the smell of cleaning products was extremely strong upon arrival. The restaurant downstairs has good food and great coffee. You can hear some restaurant noise, but they were kind enough to turn their music off.

Everything about this property was amazing! Great location, very clean, beautifully decorated and all the amenities you could ask for. Very responsive host, check in process was easy breezy, greatly appreciated parking pass and being above that charming little cafe was such an added bonus. We will be back for sure!

Cute and Clean!
VERY clean and great layout! Plenty of room and porch was a plus.Nice furnishings.No elevator so stairs weren't ideal with luggage but was very worth it. parking is tough with large vehicle but worked.Felt very historic and walked to rainbow row/shops/restaurants. Poogans Porch was a favorite, one block down.Enjoyed the vibe being in an apartment versus a hotel.One drawback, major construction on building across the little street, very noisy at 7am!It sounded like they were working in my bedroom.After a long road trip that wasn't ideal nor mentioned in listing.I would definitely stay again once that is completed.
