"We had a really lovely stay at this hotel. Don’t be put off by the facade as once you step inside the hotel it is wonderful. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful and they work really hard. The room was really clean with super comfy beds and the air con was fabulous. The evening meal we had was very enjoyable and good value for money. The breakfast was again excellent with just the right amount of choice and at £10 each was again very good value for money. We would not hesitate...

"Our stay at The Marquis of Lorne was great. Very comfy room and the food was great. Just a two night stop over and inrtended to eat out but after the first night we were hooked on the4 menu. Thanks for grwat stay."

"We were in room 3 which was huge, it comprised of a small sitting room, bathroom and large bedroom. Bed was very comfortable, room spotless, tv in both sitting room and bedroom. Small fridge in the sitting room with milk and chilled water which was very welcome as it was extremely hot. Breakfast was lovely, good portions, and all the staff were fantastic. "Great rural location (i am not a golfer), really nice room, clean and comfortable and reasonably stylish. Only let downs were; paper thin walls so could hear quiet conversations in the adjacent rooms, and a noisy shower (neighbour showered at 1am!). it was a heatwave; room fans were provided but it would have been good to fully ventilate the rooms. Due to work commitments i had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on that."

"This is a lovely hotel. We stayed in a luxury double room, which was nice with a spacious bathroom and great shower. Our dinner in the hotel restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced and staff were all very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking across the road from the hotel."
