"The hotel has been newly renovated. Everything is clean and new. I would happily stay here again. The only complaint is that we were there for 4 days and at check-in, we were told that the towels would be changed after the second day and that the rubbish bin etc would be emptied. We were ok with this, however, they were never changed, and the bin was never emptied. We went to reception the following day, and new towels were provided. "This was our favorite stay in New Zealand. Comfortable house in the cute town of Twizel with lots of dining options, two grocery stores, amazing stars, and convenient to Mt Cook. The house is in a neighborhood so a bit tricky to find at night, but very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen and a good set up for a family. "Wonderful house in Twizel. Clean, spacious, in a quiet neighborhood. Bit far to walk to town center, but just a 2-3 minute drive. Only downside was they told us after making the reservation that there were no toiletries (e.g. shower wash & shampoo). Internet password was out of date but they were very responsive in providing updated info so not a big deal."

"Our amazing stay in the Ashley Mackenzie villa was magical! The view of the glacier lake, the mountains, and Mount Cook were spectacular.
