"Beautiful location. Drove from Ohio to northern Michigan on a weekend getaway for Labor Day weekend. We drove 10 hours overnight and were looking for a place to stay to explore the nearby dunes and pictured rocks farther north. We did not stay in the lodge too much as we were out and about, but the property had everything you need with cooking utensils and also a fire pit that was nice for a campfire at the top of the hill. The only thing that we experienced that was an issue was the check-in. "

While the photos show a lake, the house is about a block away and there's no view of the lake from the home itself. "Wow, it’s hard for me to describe exactly how we felt during our short stay, but all I can say is that is was magical. This was such a fun place for my friends to stay for a weekend getaway during the holidays. The town is charming and the stay equally so. Looking out at the fresh snow blanketing the surrounding forrest felt like a scene out of a "
