"We had a wonderful stay in Montignac-Charente. The apartment is a short walk to the town center and we enjoyed stopping in at the patisserie and the cafe. A full grocery store is a short drive away. Our dogs also loved long walks along the country roads beside fields filled with sunflowers. Our host met us when we arrived, kindly showed us how everything worked, and even gifted us some apple preserves that tasted fabulous on our morning croissants. There was more than enough room for the 4 of us...

"The farmhouse and cottage were perfect for accommodating our group of 11 people comfortably. The house was clean, spacious and nicely furnished with excellent cookware available to use. The pool is a perfect size and temperature for relaxing and playing. The games barn was enjoyed by the teenagers in our group. The Farmhouse is situated in a very small, quiet village but there are small towns a ten minute drive in either direction with large supermarkets, restaurants etc. I would definitely...

"Such a great house! Will definitely return when the pool is open! As described, very spacious, lots of outside space including pizza oven and bbq. Lots of covered outdoor space for all weathers. Gates close so perfect for dogs. Restaurants/bars/supermarkets only 5 minute drive. So peaceful and quiet and typically French 😊"

"We all loved our time at Nicholas’ house. There is so much to do at the house and it is surrounded by a wall which makes it very easy to be with young families. We picked the vegetables and fruit, fed the chickens and absolutely loved spending time in the river. The pool is beautiful and the house is homely and elegant with everything you need for a happy and easy stay. Nicholas was extremely communicative and kind. "Lovely overall 10-day stay with our 2 families in this beautifully decorated and well appointed house; plenty of room, comfy beds, fantastic water pressure, amazing social family kitchen with range cooker, fridge freezer and drinks fridge. "Absolutely brilliant two weeks. Enjoyed listening to the river as well as drifting along in it. Saw wonderful wildlife. Perfect and tranquil setting. Elaine and Richard were perfect hosts, there if needed but both us and them had privacy. Would highly recommend "
