Amazing newly remodeled Oceanview to Culebra Island apartment, new furniture, fully equipped kitchen and laundry, 50' LED Flat Screen, Blue Ray Disc Player, Cable TV, and Wifi. Includes Air Conditioning in all three bedrooms, family room, dinner room, and kitchen. The complex has three pools with gazebos, 3 tennis courts, gym, basketball court, sauna, playgrounds, running track, and is located 1 mile from the Biggest Marina in the Caribbean, Marina Puerto del Rey. You can visit our amazing beaches in our nearby Islands Culebra and Vieques (both Islands have had multiple times Top Beaches in the World) either thru Fajardo Ferry Terminal, Fajardo (5 minutes from complex) or by Jose Aponte de la Torre Airport, Ceiba (1 minute from complex inside Roosevelt Roads). Last but not least, is located 15 minutes from the famous El Yunque National Rain Forest, the only tropical rain forest in the U.S. National Forest System.

False advertisement as far as usage of pool blood stains on comforters sheets as window treatments

Could not get into the building without inconveniencing the neighbors was told “it happens too often” had a code which could only be used once you’re in the building to get into condo. Was told that the pool was closed due to Covid however the pools were all open but you’re not allowed to use it without being on the lease or must be accompanied by the owner at all times. Mold on the ceiling and wall behind the bed. Dirty sheets, blood stained comforter, used toothbrushes, dirty towels & opened food in fridge left behind after supposedly being cleaned. We had to be relocated and refunded. Two &1/2 days wasted trying to find lodging of a four-day vacation! Definitely do not recommend staying at this so-called “newly renovated” place. The owner never even returned our calls after several attempts had to contact VRBO was on hold for hours and constant dropped calls to start over again! THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE!

It was ok we had problems when we arrived we didn't have key for are location. We had to drive somewhere to get a key,about 5 miles away.after arriving in San Juan.

Not Very User-friendly nor Trustworthy

Property was clean and substantially as advertised, but the unit owner first said he would mail the keys, then said we'd need to pick them up in San Juan. This was very inconvenient. Property was OK, but there wasn't really hot water, although in Puerto Rico that's not so important. My biggest complaint is that the property owner promised return of the security deposit within 12-24 hour of checkout. It has been six days and I still don't have my deposit back. The owner doesn't return my calls and is not responding to e-mail. VRBO has not also been no help.. Beware!

Awesome view, location, had a great time.

Location is beautiful and quiet. Apartment is very beautiful and ample space. We were 7, each had space. The kitchen was great as well. Everything was just as in the pictures. Loved having coffee in the morning sitting in the balcony looking at the ocean. The pool and pool area, a great plus. Loved it. Spent almost every day in it. The accesability of areas and the security of the location gave us peace and tranquility. Just what we needed for this vacation. Will definitely be staying there again. Recommended for family too.

The condo was exactly as advertised. We had three couples. Each had their own space. The issues were minor. Lack of enough hot water and ceiling fan remotes in front room lacked working batteries. We kept windows open in evenings for breeze in front room. Then during day we closed windows and shades and ran the air conditioning. Lors of morning sun in the front room.

Jan 10-18 stay

Perfect accommodations for a family of 4 but worked well for our family of 5 including 3 teen daughters. A rental car is a must. Buy groceries at Ralph’s—skip Walmart this time. Don’t waste your time at Los Macho beach unless you want to feed stray dogs and cats (...and we did). We went to many beaches. Seven Seas (Food truck parking lot was great and they had AMAZING margaritas with a scoop of sorbet)and Isla Verde were our favs. We took the ferry to Vieques with NO issues and really enjoyed Esperanza and the beach there but if you don’t have a rental or scooter a taxi is $5 per person per trip and gets expensive to go beach hopping. Condo Owner was a great communicator and very responsive. Neighbors were very friendly and always spoke to us when our paths crossed.

Perfect location for access to marina the El Junque forest. Comfortable beds, very nice amenities and a fantastic sunrise view. Fully equipped kitchen, loved the smoothie blender! Quiet, safe/gated community. Only 5 min. to the dive boat! Thanks for everything Jose, we enjoyed our stay.

Great Apartment in nice complex

Great apartment in a nice complex. Although it was November and clearly off season the apartment was located in a good spot. Close to some dive shops and with some restaurants near by. The apartment was clean, well maintained and with all the amenities of home. Communication with the owner was easy... getting in to the property was easy, even though we followed the check in instructions incorrectly!! A nice place to stay and we would recommend

Awesome Place in Ceiba!!!

We traveled with three teenage boys. About 50 minutes from airport & an easy drive. We took the ferry from Ceiba to Vieques for a day trip, went to El Yunque and visited old San Juan. The property has a pool, basketball & tennis courts. We only used pool once because we were out enjoying the island. The view of the sunrise over the ocean from the balcony was gorgeous! Owner was very responsive to my questions before and doing the trip. Walmart and Market is close as well! I would recommend and hope to return soon!

Best rental so far.

We were taken back with the view from the balcony. The entire apartment was is very spacious and super clean. We had a chance to cook one dinner meal and it felt so home. Everything is close by and easy access to the highway was a plus.

Had potential just needs to some TLC

The complex is beautiful despite post hurricane María damage. You can see workers all over fixing up buildings throughout. This apartment was nice just needed to be maintained. I feel the owner or “property manager “ was not to concerned about my comfort or that of my family. When we arrived I messaged him through the “home away” app and he took a day to get back to me. ( usually his reply time or longer). The air conditioner in the living room (only room with a tv ) was not working at all. And to add insult to injury the big patio windows and door which were all glass could not be covered because the shade was broken and rolled up on the floor! So no shade and no air conditioning for my son who slept in the futon. (We are 5 total). The front door sticks and makes a loud snapping sound everytime it’s opened, the washer sounded like it’s broken, couldn’t get the dining ceiling fan to work only the light and lastly the water pressure was weak and mostly hot water. As odd as that sounds. The master bed shower controls are backwards. Like I stated this place has a great potential to be a 5 star however maybe better communication from the “owner” and even some better reply then “ I’ll contact my maintenance guy for the air” and for the last 6 days we just sweat in that main area. I even messaged him after we left and told him about the air again for the next renter and got nothing. Home away needs to police these landlords better. Actually send out a rep to check these amenities. Won’t use this place again. And before you feel I’m picky. Try to sit in a living room/ dining room with no air on a normal Puerto Rico evening and let me know how comfortable it is. Beware ! My payments were taken instantly, my fees my cleaning fees etc. but I couldn’t get any answers to my questions. I hope things get better for this place. Because it truly has potential.

Beautiful condo in great eastern location

POST-HURRICANE MARIA REVIEW: My 5 friends and I had a wonderful time staying in this fully furnished condo. The master bedroom was equipped with a king-sized bed and a child-sized bed with dual sinks outside the bathroom. The other two bedrooms had a single queen-sized bed each. Additionally, the living room had a futon that folds into a comfy bed (I don't think this is in the description). The beds were surprisingly comfy. Don't expect a TempurPedic but they are some of the comfier beds I've used on vacation. The air conditioning is a wonderful addition to each room (PR is humid at all times). The balcony faces the marina and has a great view of the sunrise every morning. Huge windows allow for full sun and make the condo seem larger than it is. We suggest opening all the windows to allow for a great ocean breeze through the condo. The included washer/dryer combo is AMAZING for washing beach clothing and removing sand and seawater. Jose includes every appliance (plus more) that you need for a vacation. The refrigerator has FILTERED water to drink with an ice maker. There is also an instant water heater that ACTUALLY works, so we all had warm showers and hot water for washing dishes. We provided ourselves with basics (dish soap, laundry detergent, etc) which are all available at the Walmart or Ralph's up PR-3 (main highway on the east side of the island). The only thing that I could suggest for improvement would be that Jose doesn't reply well on the VRBO messaging platform. However, he sends a very professional letter that has information that you need to contact him, so just use his phone number (on his letter, NOT the number VRBO has) and he will get back to you! Also, he had stated in his message that a neighbor was going to open the door for us since we didn't have the condo key yet, but we had to buzz every condo in the complex till someone came to open the door. She was very kind but didn't know any English so that was a personal barrier we had. Hopefully, Jose can find a different way to get the key to renters so this small hinderance isn't one in the future. Also, when you arrive you will need to use the gate closest to the guard station. They will ask for the apartment number, full name, and driver's license ID number. So be sure to have that information handy. Overall, Jose provided an incredible condo at an incredible price for our stay. I would in no doubt rent with Jose again in the future. Thank you for the great experience!
