"Quiet room next to a stream, Museum Like atmosphere without the musky smell. Nice surprise to find a 4--5 star hotel in the middle of farmland country. Everything you could want in walking distance. Live bands, eateries, shopping and a park for the children."

"The rooms were clean. The bathroom off the pool has mold on the walls. The breakfast just ok. The only fresh fruit was soggy apples."

"We had previously stayed at the Guest House Motel for a number of years under the previous owners that were very friendly and accommodating. We found out that the motel was purchased and reopened as the Trail Inn. We were at first surprised at the fact that there is no one in the lobby to check in. Nice peaceful location far from city everything good but pool look dirty I don't know much but I see at evening time so it's used by some other guest so water looks little dirty and I don't like one think that every time enter to casino they check ID but it's ok I think it's theirs duties but need to improve.... And one more thing transportation I wait about and 1 hour for Uber ride to go back to station so I think uber can't find that location or shortage of uber driver so I suggest...

"Room is only 18 minutes outside of Iowa City so you're saving about $10-15 PER MINUTE of travel over the insanely overpriced rooms at the University of Iowa. The rooms are basic and so overly cheesy in their abuse of the great outdoors theme that it's fun! Everything has a moose or bear on it! But here's the clincher...it's quiet and (MY BIG TEST) the bathroom was clean! It's basic with a capital B but clean so I was happy. Will stay again for sure!"
